hi guys,
my wife just gave me an ipad 4th gen for my birthday
so im thinking of getting a plan from maxis for it
which do u guys think is better? the wireless broadband (RM68 for 4 + 4 gb) or the surfmore (RM75 for 5gb)?
im a casual user. gonna use just for surfing after work and moderate youtubing.
leaning towards the wireless broadband because of the price and possible tax deduction, but i only got 4gb to use during daytime.
can maxis give a microsim for the wireless broadband?
please enlighten me...

SurfMore50 is more than enough for you I think...So far now there is no more charges once u exceed the quota..only the speed cut off~~
Btw,SurfMore 50 is 2GB/Month...If u do not have wifi at home but u wants a better speed then just go straight to higher package~~=]

I have an iPad3 for light surfing, email and moderate youtube usage. I have been using a RM68 per month Maxis Wireless broadband plan since November last year.
The 4GB daytime quota is quite sufficient, actually, and I have never utilised the 2am-8am 4GB night quota since I am in bed during those times.
Why did I choose this plan? Well, for RM150 of upfront payment (of which RM50 is rebated back into 5 months of bills), I received a 21Mbps MIFI device which I now use with my wifi iPad, my iPhone and my laptop whenever I am outside and in need of a broadband connection.
Disclosure: I am on the Maxis "Value Plus Internet 80" plan on my phone, so the MIFI with 4GB daytime quota is a big help since my phone plan comes with only 500MB of internet data.

Don't think Surfmore can get tax deduction. Anyway, if you subscribe surfmore plan from maxis online store, you will get $120 rebate spread out to 12 months ($10 each month). https://store.maxis.com.my/maxis/MOS/Indivi...urfMore50/p/1SMkmrdeva, this is a good idea. I didn't think of this one as I've been eyeing the surfmore plan for a while now.
