Clarity.

Dude. Beats is the last earphones on earth you'd want for clarity. They are rubbish in that segment unless u just want quantity of thumping bass. Note I said quantity not quality tongue.gif

Yes i am referring to that one. Cause is so cheap.
I admit that beats is the lowest qualiy among all branded earphone. Considering that price tag I dont think any other earphone can on par with it. Is the price i'm attracted to.
*
No no that's besides the point. If you are going for clarity, beats is the last brand you'd want to go for. They are mainly for bass.
If you want clarity look for BA type driver earphones.

dynamic IEM also do well with clarity de lo~
*
Yes, but BA will always be better in clarity compared to dynamics. Even high end dynamics if vs high end BA will still lose out to BA types

Would it cost around Rm100 too? Any particular oem or model recommend?
I know the for such price, the clarity also very limited.
I just want a affordable and ok ok earphone, at least it produces the minimum quality i set.
Thanks
*
For that price, probably apple earpods would be the best in that range

Hi all I am interested in the Soul By Ludacris SL150 Blue color, can get it original for RM300+,

Do you think for around Rm300 is a good headphone? Saw many great reviews online, even 4.5/5 stars on Amazon with 400+ reviews
*
Or you can consider TDK700, TDK750, etc. They have the similar beats/soul looks. Not sure of the SQ, but should be not bad as well.

it cost even more lol, but its wireless / bluetooth

i prefer the full sound from wire instead of wireless cuz wireless headphones degrades the sound of the headphone
*
Where did you get that info from?
Its not wireless, they are all wired.

The ST700 you can get for around rm300+
http://www.expansys.my/tdk-st700-high-fide...dphones-240533/

I've seen them selling in RadioShack in curve as well. But might be abit more expensive there.

Not at all  biggrin.gif  It is just misunderstanding  tongue.gif  Had never been stuck up but guess perception counts  sweat.gif

Had always sell on knowledge and service.  See ourselves as professionals in the trade and not hawkers at pasar malam.  You don't go to see a doctor and bargain over his fess or do you  hmm.gif

It takes much more than just offering the lowest price to be recognised by manufacturers as their official representative.  You can find us listed at ALO, FiiO, iFi official sites as their reseller.

By the way, do see Jaben as healthy competition  nod.gif  Professional and good for the trade  nod.gif

would be nice if you guys offer amazing prices as the merchants in overseas, e.g- Sennheiser Momentums for RM800, W4R for RM1000, V-Moda M80 for RM450, etc =)
Unfortunately East Malaysia is known for stinging on prices ;(

If you do understand the economics of business, you will understand why there is such a wide discrepancy.

Basically, USA is still the biggest consumer of electronics in the world with Amazon the biggest retailer of electronics in the world.  With the large volume in hand, they get priority on getting new models, much better discount and volume shipping rates.

The costing difference between an USA distributor's and Malaysia distributor's costing may vary up to 40%.  On top of it, for Malaysia, headphones attracts 5% duty and 10% sales tax, amplifier 15% duty and 10% sales tax, cables 40% duty and 10% sales tax.
*
I wasn't only talking about Amazon, even normal retailers/chains which doesn't specialize in head fi and having low volumes has even lower prices than Amazon. Not counting Malaysia, Singapore duty/taxes is also lower than Malaysia yet still charge the same if not higher price. Btw, i thought if you have a business license you get exempted from some of the duties?

Dear experts!!

Hi, I am in dilemma to choose which headphone or IEM.
bass headphone? studio headphone? rclxub.gif  If i wish to able to listen clearly of how the background instruments are playing the flow.

My priority concern is can be listened clearly for differentiate of the flow of various background instruments? or great instruments separation (to listen to the arrangement of the songs)

I will buy a sansa clip+ or colorfly C3 or iphone for my music playback. (u can kindly recommend me on this too, thanks smile.gif)

which headphone or IEM do u recommend?
*
If you want separation and clarity go for BA type IEMs, if you want soundstage and bass go for dynamic type IEMs or headphones.

C3 is better than clip+ in terms of SQ.
For BA earphones you can look at TDK BA200, Final Audio Heaven C or S, Hippo ProOne, SE425, UE900, XBA-3, UM3x, etc

For Dynamic there's RE400/600, Klipsch X1, GR07, IE8, etc

It seems that the market now full of either iem or over ear. There's no one releasing any earbud already?

Sennheiser still has some.

- Budget: RM 1000, the lower the better.
- Your rig: Note 2. Laptop > UD100. Still deciding DAC and amp.
- What type of usage: Music.
- File format used in your source: Common lossy and loseless.
- Genre of music you listen to: All sort. Universal listener.
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM/ Closed can.
- Other requirements: Clarity with accurate bass, not a bass head. Portable in term of design, and function. Earpad that allow my ear breathing.

After heavy justification, I decided have enough with speaker (for now) and focus on portable audio product so I can enjoy them anytime, anywhere. So for RM1k, headphone or IEM better? Before I never fan of IEM because tested JH Audio, uncomfortably fit to my ear thus I prefer headphone. Somehow after spending time with FA-003, this headphone too big to bring here and there. In love with Beyer COP but do I still have other option?
*
Isolation and clarity usually IEM has the upperhand, headphones have better soundstage.
JH Audio is customs, so i don't think the uncomfortable fit in their demo set matters much since in the end it will be your ear molds that gives you the fit.

I see.. So, how about those universal IEM?
*
Well there are 3 types for IEM, balance armature, dynamic or hybrid. Best you google to find out their characteristics as to which suits your need.
Once you figured out then you could narrow your search down.
Hybrids are not as common, and usually the higher end/pricier ones sounds more refine than the lower end ones. But it's not easy to find any demo in Malaysia.

But IEMs is really quite different compared to headphones. Best if you decide which you prefer.

so which headphone is the best in your opinion?? Monster turbines gold or the Heaven IV?
*
Why don't you try the other range in FAD Heaven? I found the IV quite light in comparison to the C and S. It lacks the Heaven signature. There's also the Heaven V, although i haven't tried that one.

Lol well they did mention alcantara is used on luxury yachts/ships. Pretty sure it won't be same as those cheap helmet paddings smile.gif

aiya no need momentum over or on ear la, the v-moda m100 is way better than them  hmm.gif
*
That depends in what sense you mean by better...
The m100 is more bass heavy and fun sounding(quite coloured)
The momentums is more balanced and natural sounding.

If you prefer abit more details and reference like, then momentum suits more than the m100. If you prefer a fun sound then m100.. IMO.

RE400 aint anything high end, and miracle is one which is mid-high end, the odd looking shape is because it is catered to your own ear canals

IMO give RE400 or RE600 a chance, they are worth the wallet break, in fact, I use RE400 more than Miracle
*
Lol how is miracle mid high end? I still consider it high end as its UM's flagship as JH13 is with JHAudio and etc tongue.gif

i consider it mid high end cause it is still a 6 BA compared to some 8 BAs out there, still it is quite close to high end
*
I don't think high ends are dependant on the number of drivers.. since the sound signature is quite different. To me 6 drivers are closer to reference and balance while 8 drivers are more for those who prefer bass emphasis while maintaining details in the mids and highs.

If that's the case then most of FADs stuff would be considered low end as well since they only employ 1 driver

i feel you! All my straight end headphone plug also unable to use due to flexing it too much  brows.gif

either get wireless or when you choose another earphone, get with 90 degree headphone jack or the 45 degree (which is the best) to prevent any problems such from flexibility such as V-Moda Vibrato or the Munitio Billets series, but for jogging you should choose wireless earbuds such as Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 which is currently the best option for wireless
*
my vote for wireless is Jaybird Bluebuds X! =D
