I'm looking for a best for buck headphones ranging from Rm100-200 and Rm200-300. It depends on if the advantage is really needed or not. I'm using it to listen to my music playing, but also for normal music listening. Headphones (closed or open, but closed sounds better)

Although, Its originally supposed to be used as for studio purposes. I got myself a new bass guitar and practice amp to go with it. So something with a lil more bass sounds good. But i also have an electric guitar with a gigging amp. But the important part is the clarity for the bass.

Have already looked at the Audiothechnica ATH M30, Beyerdynamic dt231 pro, the soundlux hd668B. So any recommendations/experiences to share, and places to get it...? I'm around KL area. Thank you.

DAC/AMP I use is
Ordnance .25 with the source from an iMac/laptop or xDuoo TA-02 Tube amp
But that's what I use. I'm not getting it for myself.

I can't really recall their amp/source brand/model they use hmmm.
But let's say it's through the Ordnance.25 amp/DAC, which headphone around Rm1K would you recommend ?

QUOTE(Axel95 @ Jan 16 2014, 12:21 AM)
any recommendations for IEM around RM150-200? My playlist is filled with rock and hip hop. Therefore I need a bassy earphone but clear enough for the instrumentals. Has to be better than my sennheiser cx200

EDIT:

I use my earphones mainly for my iPhone. My issue with the current sennheiser is that its not so defined. I get it that its a bassy earphone, but i listen to rock quite a bit and it annoys me when the bass is more defined than the guitar.

- Your rig -- iPhone 4s
- What type of usage -- Strictly Music
- File format used in your source -- 192-320kbps MP3,m4a
- Genre of music you listen to -- Random, mostly pop
- Headphone/ earphone type -- IEM only
- Other requirements -- Warm sound with "thumping" bass not " boom boom" bass like beats which ruins the vocal,if can need comfort also but not so necessary as long as it stays in my ear  tongue.gif

Budgets -- around RM100,stretchable to RM150

Currently using stock IEM come with galaxy s3 which surprised me a little with a stock earphone, sounds warm, just the vocal is not forward, also owning Sony MDR-ZX600 which for me sounds "dry"

So any recommendation ?

I would like to buy an in-ear earphone which cancels the noise of both people talking around me and also constant noise such as airplane noise etc. In other words I would like something which is both noise-cancelling and noise-isolating. I mainly listen to talks and don't care much about music quality. Budget is below RM600.  I use the earphone with an iphone, Galaxy note 3 and a laptop. Any recommendation and where can I get such a product? Thanks.

Ok. I give up on the research and looking for earbud with mic. Do any of you have any recommendation of IEM that are:

Rig: iPhone 5 (and future iPhones), iMac
Usage: Music
Format: M4A
Genre: All sorts
Earphone: IEM
Budget: RM2k max
Others:
1. Comfortable without going too deep into my ear canal, and the tip is small.

2. Small or flat enough that I can lay on my sides with the IEM in my ear and not being pushed by the pillow.

3. Comes with in-line control & mic, or at least have the option for 3rd party cable that has such feature.

Thanks in advance! Happy Chinese New Year!
*
In terms of housing size to fit your ears, the Westone W40 has the smallest form factor and it comes with 2 cables. One with inline mic and control for iDevices, the other just a plain cable.

40 pound is rm200+ so options are more restrained
try beyeedynamic dt231.  Astro studio uses it, so confirm good stuff

otherwise audio technica is the way to go, but also a bit strong on bass
*
not saying that the Beyerdynamic DT231 is no good but what Astro studio uses does not equates to good stuff sweat.gif
