Guys....l know there is a lot of ICE player here. l,m not a heavy ICE player so dont really know what is the diffrent between Component set and 2 or 3 ways speaker.

Okay..let's put is this way. 6.5inch component (including 1 crossover and 1 tweeter) vs 6.5inch 2 way speaker.


Beside that, is it suitable to place component set at the rear board or rear door? l know this is weird so.....just give some of ur suggestion k.


Actually can anyone define what is the use of 2 ways speaker? Does it produce bass? Or treble? (since it got a tweeter on top of it)

2 ways normally refer to 2 drivers be it coaxial or component set (mid range+tweeter)
3 ways refer to 3 drivers ..same 3 way 6x9 or 3 way component (mid ranger+mid bass+tweeter)

erm, can i have a power way component? (big power ranger, mid power ranger, mid bass power ranger and high power ranger)

Actually l'm asking component set (mid range+tweeter+crossover) vs just a pure 2 ways speaker. So what is the diffrent eh? Can anyone tell me?

so 1 2 ask what 2 ways components set is good of budget price at rm 400~500 ???

Component set is the best way to listen music...
becouse the tweeter is face to our ear, sound more direct so can hear a lot of sound effect... and the mid bass might be more solid...

If you use 2 way speaker for front seat... the tweeter sound almost blok by your leg... So u only hear part of the sound effect...

and the price between component set and 2 way very big diff.
the component price almost double of 2 way speaker..

hi i just recently add a soundstream component into my ride.
its a 6.5' component,
however, i found out when come to bass,
my iswara ori rear 4" speaker are stronger than the soundstream 6.5"
wat could be the problem?

then i only have one question to ask, what HU are u using now?

I'm using 5.5" up front for my saga, and i have to say it's WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the ori 4". Logically thinking, it's very weird u r saying the smal 4" is better than what u've installed. unless u r using ayam brand soundstream...

what head unit u are using?
head unit produce low voltage might not able to power up the speaker

unless u turn on Loud mode and increase high volume

or simple, juz get AMP.. i suspect the system arent getting enough power to push

haha, just done the speaker checking last week
the cause is tat 1 of the mid are connected terbalik
its +- going wrong
so every phase is the opposite of the other mid
and cause flating out the bass.
and now the problem solve, and my HU is set to full front output now..haha
way better than the stock one, stock one only will ruin my sound quality
anyway i using pioneer 1850.

Hey man ..... I would like to get a component speakers for my ride. I realize there's sizes like 5.25inch , 5.5 inch , 6 inch and 6.5 inch. How do I choose ?

And another thing , what the differance in terms of sound between coaxial and component speakers ? Wanted to get some sony xplode speakers but realize there's not much component speaker compared to coaxial at www.sony.com.my. Can help me decide ?

my budget is bout rm400-500 ... and I'm driving a myvi. The songs I usually listen to are like britney spears (sometimes) or backstreet boys. hehe ...

I don't mind spending abit more for my front component since I'm gonna custom make my door panel for it.

You can try Helix 6 MKII & DLS B6 around RM500++ .... I try before it good...!

Usually go to kedai abang at ampang there and don't see any helix speakers. Any shop you guys recogment me that won't potong me ??

Anyway, there are a lot of shops. But mostly are more heavily on Focal, Alpine, Morel, and higher end stuff. A friend did enquired about a Helix component set. Gotta bring it in from the distributor.

You can try CV(either in Kuchai Lama or the one in Uptown, D'sara), KF Audio, KK Lau, ACP, or if you happen to be in Seremban, Loh Tong MIng.
