I am looking for a photos or pictures viewer for Mac Intel? I have tried a few freeware but none of them come close to ACDSee for Windows. Looking for a program able to browse the folder, click the pictures and view in full screen and scroll to the next picture. Please recommend a fast viewer program. Thank you.

Personally, I feel iPhoto 05 or Preview is good enought for photo viewer. if u like full photo viewer, I think there is no fight for iPhoto 06 especially it come with new mac nowadays .. just my 2 cents rclxm9.gif

The problem with iPhoto is that some pictures I do not wish to put into iPhoto database. I prefer something like ACDSee, browse thru the folders and view the pictures.

just curious.... sometimes when I double-click a photoshopped jpeg image, it launches Photoshop instead of Preview. Is there anyway to default every jpeg that has gone thru Photoshop to be view automatically on Preview (without launching Photoshop or drag-and-drop of course)....?

Try Photomechanic. (newspapers use it, its REALLY fast.) beats preview anyday.

Try googling "MIME" settings for OSX. Shouldnt be that difficult to change.
