Each of the Hello Kitty dolls and figurines can perform magic tricks (with the help of the human of course !!) so i guess that would be the main selling point. Hope there are enough fans in Msia and Spore who like hello kitty or else i am in trouble. But I think Star Wars has a much broader appeal as in guys and girls can like it compared to HK where its almost exclusively girls.

Definitely, not for giving away. the doll in this pic is around RM130 estimated retail price but it is quite big.
Creating a story would be great. I plan to have some magic show events. I like the chase around Malaysia idea but will need to think hard to fit it to the product but it sounds quite interesting.

I guess another factor could be sales figures. Stocks for sets that aren't moving as fast may have an earlier EOL?

Just went to Brickboy in Tropicana City and they are fully stocked up at the moment. I only focus on those few sets I want so did not pay too much attention on what is available. Did not see any evidence of the "new pricing scheme" also but perhaps that kicks in much later.

(Well, this was what was told to me earlier this year but I guess the latest news supersedes the old one) Yesterday I wrote to my supplier to check on retirement dates of the following sets and here is the reply:

Well, to make the box look like a box, they had to use cellophane tape to tape both ends of the box with the bags and manuals inside. To me, only worth it if it's extremely cheap.
