This is quite rare, in weekend this topic has so many replies,
normally people go wet instead of dipping in forum.lowyat.net right? working day only dipping in the forum I m glad that Topre coming up with type heaven, I've got some extra PBT keycaps sets for Topre, if getting one, might be able to use the keycaps on it....... ...wait... the keycaps sets is around RM300 anyway.. switching the key to the type heaven meaning adding RM300 to the price that is same with Realforce... anyway get a set of ABS Topre key extra What's the meaning of doing that anyway... |

QUOTE(jepertine90 @ Jun 8 2013, 03:37 PM) Topre Type Heaven in $100-150 thats wow.. even is ABS capped, still I think most of us just want the switch! haha is PBT cap that expensive?? never own PBT cap before.. PBT caps for Topre is that expensive.... because only Topre manufacturing them. PBT for MXs is not that high price, since other company are manufacturing them too. |

QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Jun 8 2013, 04:47 PM) Forget about it. To manufacture similar grade as Topre would mean just as expensive. When you see the real thing you will understand. Besides, we can get the same Topre dye sub pbt on the realforce. I already posted pricing somewhere it is a few hundred. Smooth finishing...? for your Thick PBT Dyesub cherry keycaps?.. But why smooth finishing?Don't fret. If you trust me, dont waste your money anywhere. In about 1-2 months I will offer dye sub pbt cap for cherry with smooth finishing. This is thick dye sub btw Heaven does not have 87. 87u back order only. We will not stock it unless dealers dare to commit. For everybody's information, we will price the realforce 104u at rm799. The heaven around 499. The topre cap is very expensive I forgot how much it is but iirc around 400. Our dealers will not stock it and we will sell direct. So, think 5 times before you decide to buy a heaven or realforce. is that how they like it now days? People tend to like textured surface like sanded or matte surface right? I think most of the traditional keycaps are sanded surface, when it's smoothed, meaning it will be slippery and people tend to replace them.... Do you mean smooth printing method? which mean the ink won't be bumped up like any other printing method right? On the other hand, to my understanding, Realforce 87U is priced higher than the 104U, is that correct? |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 8 2013, 06:11 PM) I think he mean his experience with Realforce's PBT, smooth touching. The touch of the Topre PBTs are sanded surface lo....You also got Realforce's PBT, not? What's your opinion on it? For typing experience... not exactly smooth touching la... there is no way on describe how the Topre switch feeling la.... unless you tried one. also the experience of silent and normal one are quite different. variable weight force and uniform weight also are very different. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 8 2013, 06:23 PM) Maybe the sanded pbt is smoother than the abs of ducky and so on (not sure as the only pbt i tried b4 are by plum and vortex)? It's not smooth la....BTW, the smooth touching I am describing the keycaps surface instead of the switch. but not very rough also.... compare to the Keycool white PBT spacebar I got from Taobao, also very difficult to describe..... but definitely different from ABS's touch. I have sweaty finger, so when the keys are a bit dirty, eg. if I didn't clean it for long time, it will become a bit smoother But every time after I clean it, the surface will become more rough sanded feeling comparing to when it's dirty.... and the keys from HHKB pro2, even some keys are looking shining, the texture are still rough, same feeling with the new keys. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Jun 8 2013, 08:41 PM) topre pbt feels smooth, for china taobao pbt, it feels slippery, so both its a different feel, but regarding about ducky pbt, i cannot confirm because i never tried it. That's the best word to describe the feeling of Topre PBTs: "Feel smooth, but not slippery." I can't find the right word to describe that before. topre pbt has a sandblasted surface, it feels smooth, but not slippery. china pbt has a sanded surface created by chemical, which you will feel it's slippery even thou it has a sanded texture. p.s : coating might be contributed to the slippery, which i am not sure. It's not as aggressive like the PBT from China, I now see the reason, because it's sand blasted instead of chemical etching... sand blasted are more resistant to dirts, so it won't become dirty like China PBTs... and the texture on surface can last longer too, since it's sandblasted, not etched. I see, I see now. The Keycool white PBT spacebar (China) I got doesn't feel slippery thou, maybe they have some coating or they etched it with chemical very deep... The texture feel aggressive, but I think will collect dirt easily, and difficult to clean due to it's etching method. not using it yet, so not sure about it... |
