It happened with all the popular models (as it stand, mostly with one company), perhaps with the exception of iPhone (Which, due to demand, almost always doesn't lose their price). This has been going on for some time.
Sellers need to make margins so they stay in business. It you want to lay blame, ask the distributors.

There is a funny flipside to all of this though.
Some of the lukewarm models are lukewarm in a sense that you'd have problem selling it at places where people go to find the greatest gadjet. Example, no one will in their right mind travel from Tanjung Malim to buy Corby II at lowyat.
Some sellers however are lucky that they have branches or operate in areas where the so called lukewarm models are the best seller. So when they order, and are forced to take the lukewarm models, they will "acting one", ask discount etc etc.
After that, profit kaw kaw from those branches. I know I did.
