it will improve their night fighting capabilities somewhat

i'm not joking. you can't shoot shiz if you can't see your enemy (besides 1 military grade nvg can buy you like 100 of these lamps)
*
Looks like a good head shot target to me. Those torches are for short distance and would not replace a nvg.

all asean countries began their military's shopping spree..meanwhile in malaysia, still struggling in the Mig-29 replacement programme, lacks of modern navy ships and patrol boats, opposition kept questioning military purchases like they know better than the generals of the ATM, etc..goddamnit Malaysia! doh.gif

Who ask Malaysia to spend so much on customization, local production tech transfer and commissions that jack up the price per unit so much, you ran out of money to spend on anything else. Different lah if you build by thousands and able to spread out NRE cost.

bcoz we won't gonna find a vanilla system that perfectly suited our needs unless we build it ourself. them Tanks need some localization so it can perform in the tropical jungle, the fighter jet avionics has to be tranlated in ingles, etc. some run-of the-mill equipments offered by the supplier are inferior, such as russian targetting pods.

even though we won't gonna see the "made in malaysia" tanks or jet in near future, the ToT already helps us in other aspect of the industry. from advanced material fabrication to warhead/missile sensors. from our deal with F/A-18D we learn how to make NVG goggles. we also have the capability to produce base-bleed, laser-guided 155mm artillery rounds and even short range SAMs
projek rumah terbengkalai

Then stop complaining (not target at you). We can have either quantity or quality, not both without blowing up the budget. Well..may be can but need to cut all the wastage and have a lean open tender system for all procument without unnecessary middle men and political interference.

from your previous post looks like you're the one complaining

besides ATM prefers quality over quantity. as for political interference, politics and military are but 2 side of a same coin. one cannot exist without the other,be it on flexing military muscle to influence regional decision or buying(or not buying) weapon from certain country to gain some kind of alliance.
*
Huhh! WTF. If you read carefully, you'll find out that it is the other guys that are complaining that we're slow in buying while our neighbours are on shopping sphree. Pls don't simply respond without reading carefully.

What is pure Chinese like? China is so big there are many tribes. If you go to farming villages in Kelantan, you won't know if they are Chinese or Malay or Thai as they look almost the same. Malay here is so mixed with Arab, Chinese, Minangkabau etc. that you don't even know how pure Malay look like as well. My Malay primary school teacher used to ask this questions some 40 years ago as he also have mixed blood. My distant uncle who is a sergeant major in Ulu Kinta does not look like Chinese as well.

which one? the CCT or the TACP?

not all of the Pathfinder are capable, but most of them are!
*
Not familiar with CCT or TACP (short form in English?). SST is Skn Sayap Tempur, Tactical Assault. Did they change the name already?

CCT is Combat Control Team while the TACP is Tactical Air Control Party
you can goggle it SST is same like Pathfinder/Pandura both is a unit under their branch which is Paskau and Para
*
Google and can't find any CCT and TACP in PASKAU but in USAF ada lah. Also SST is not same as PANDURA but pathfinding is also one of SST's many specialties.

Hahahaha....padan muka dengan Pinoys semua. Dulu masa Sulu serang Sabah, punyalah hebat dok backing MNLF, MILF and the rebel groups. This is a spat on their faces.
*
Don't laugh at other people. What goes around comes around, true for Malaysia as well. Check and see who trained those MNLF fighters last time.

Zamboanga clash<=WARNING : viewer discretion is advised

it show aftermath of the attack, even with the interview of MNLF rebels that attack the city.

This is undermining the peace agreement between Phil govn and MILF. What is MILF doing about it? or maybe Phil and Mal govns negotiated with the wrong group.

MILF and MNLF are a whole difference entity
and MNLF are a faction of MILF that wanted Misuary to be the leader of MILF

to be more precise, mos tof the MNLF member is the former reserved army of Misuari when he was the governor of MORO
*
I know la they are different. Since MILF is the one negotiated for autonomous region, they should be fighting MNLF as well alongside PAF.
