Namer is an APC based on Merkava design. Merkava tank itself was design as some sort of AIFV since it has compartment to carry up to 6 infantrymans. Namer expand this. It can carry up to 11 infantrymans. Unfortunately, in order to acommodate more infantries, it sacrifice firepower. The turret was removed to make more room for infantry. It is only armed with a GPMG or HMG or a AGL. In a sense, Namer are no longer an AIFV. It's just a heavily armored APC. The one based on captured soviet tank is achzarit, based of T54/55 tank chassis. BUt that's not all. Several countries have already convert their old tanks to APC. Tarmour (India) and BTR-T (Russia) are based on T-55 chassis. Nakpadon (Israel) and Temsah (Jordan) are based on centurion tank Chassis.

During LIMA, i saw a bunch of airliner pilots trying their hand on F/A-18E simulator. I guess they are not used to highly responsive aircraft because they crash it everytime.
