QUOTE(lulz @ May 9 2013, 09:36 PM) Namer is an APC based on Merkava design. Merkava tank itself was design as some sort of AIFV since it has compartment to carry up to 6 infantrymans. Namer expand this. It can carry up to 11 infantrymans. Unfortunately, in order to acommodate more infantries, it sacrifice firepower. The turret was removed to make more room for infantry. It is only armed with a GPMG or HMG or a AGL. In a sense, Namer are no longer an AIFV. It's just a heavily armored APC.The one based on captured soviet tank is achzarit, based of T54/55 tank chassis. BUt that's not all. Several countries have already convert their old tanks to APC. Tarmour (India) and BTR-T (Russia) are based on T-55 chassis. Nakpadon (Israel) and Temsah (Jordan) are based on centurion tank Chassis. |

QUOTE(bai1101 @ Jun 3 2013, 09:33 AM) simple logic yep. During LIMA, i saw a bunch of airliner pilots trying their hand on F/A-18E simulator. I guess they are not used to highly responsive aircraft because they crash it everytime.even handle an 110km car can go fatal so u need select somebody that can handle sonic speed which worth billion. btw J.kidding there will be no so many joblesss pilot if handle jet fighter is as easy as commersial plane. |

QUOTE(noavatar @ Jun 6 2013, 12:32 PM) According to the press release I've got here its the GM400. PangilanPertiwi mention 406 Operator who used to the mechanical radar will have trouble understanding all the modes available in this new radar. The GM406 is the most powerful in the series, and the radar could provide target designation to intercept SRBM (approximately 300 km). |

I sit on the road near the Bandaraya LRT station. The tanks passed inches away from my legs. this is the first time i saw PT-91M close up. So huge.

The Russian JSF. Hopefully putin see fit to revive this program. maybe we can buy some. They claim it's performance is comparable to MIG-29.

QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Sep 9 2013, 08:18 PM) i thought the AFP and MNLF did joint maneuvre to combat splinter group a while back? maybe the acquisition of a AEW platform can improve surveilance capability.problem with pinoy security forces is that there are so many turncoats among their ranks. be it the army, the police or their village guard i wouldn't be laughing if i was you. if the philippines continues to be incompetent in containing the situation it gonna spill to us eventually. thus the need to improve ESSCOM. the plan to replace the Migs will have to be on lower priority at least until 2015. right now we need MPAs and additional ground radar placement. oh and half a dozen new, heavily armed cutters for MMEA wouldn't hurt. |
