At the height of the Sabah crisis during the Sulu attack, a majority of the Pinoy public were disparaging Malaysia with all sorts of names for the perceived "heavyhandedness" when we used our jet fighters, tanks and other military assets during Ops Daulat. It will be hilarious to see if the PH govt decides to do the same and use their jet fighters, tanks and other military assets to flush out the MNLF-Misuari faction

Public response is quite muted so far. Pinoy online media are under-reporting the conflict, they are giving it a slant to the news as though as the conflict is merely an isolated incident caused by small, rag-tag band aligned with a disgruntled Misuari. Latest reports from other sources however say that the fighting has now spread to Maguindanao, central Mindanao and that the rebels will attack North Cotabato next
