Found these pics when I was shifting through my Dropbox....apparently I attended a military event at Dataran Merdeka, but forgot all about it! I don't remember what the occasion was, but the time-stamp says "1st February 2009", if that has any meaning to old-timers.
Enjoy the pictures...I don't even know what vehicle(s) I was posing with This post has been edited by menj: Sep 5 2013, 03:52 PM |

Did this incident ever took place? These Indons sure can whip up a tale.

Looks like Sukarnoisme is still alive and well in the mind of many Indons. Why are these Indons so eager for a war with Malaysia? Sometimes I just think to myself, "Let's just give them what they want!".

QUOTE(meedoot @ Sep 7 2013, 03:28 AM) my friend.. lets stop discussing about what topix forum says. that forum filled with troll and only troll. i can say "yesterday i kill USA soldier with my knife" or you can say "yesterday u kiss sharon stone". everybody can arrange story on the net. about ur question, im really sure that no one in this forum could give u correct answer, if u want the answer, ask some ATM member, when they say no.. then u must believe it. killing other country soldier is a serious crime and the impact could very serious too. maybe government can make silent agreement, but what about their family. their family must be looking and crying all over the time. if one of ur family get killed by foreigner and government ask you to keep ur mouth shut, did u obey that order? so stop reading from topix forum or the troll from there will drag u down to their level and beat u with their experience, and the worst is u could end at mental hospital. better u read from good and reliable source like janes, sipri, defence talks or other reliable forums. Yes, I understand that very well. I was just asking whether there is any truth to that tale on Topix, not necessarily meaning that I actually believe that it really happened. If such an incident had really happened, no one can stop the news from breaking out, because such an incident will have a major impact on ASEAN relations. This post has been edited by menj: Sep 7 2013, 03:42 AM |

Dulu masa Sulu serang Sabah, punyalah hebat dok backing MNLF, MILF and the rebel groups. This is a spat on their faces.http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/483891/mnlf-w...o-city-villages |

Any chance of that conflict in Zamboanga to spill over to Sabah? We all know Nur Misuari has this itch to scratch caused by Malaysia for some time already....

Looks like the situation in Zamboanga will escalate into a full-scale war, if this news from Mindanao sources is true.
QUOTE ![]() Latest reports from Zamboanga are that Commander Khabir Malik is leading the raid to re-liberate the city and that more than 1,000 Mujahidīn have landed and more are arriving. The MNLF Mujahidīn entered into the city at around 3am this morning via the Muslim majority port areas of Rio Hondo and Mariki, from there they have marched through to Sta. Barbara, Lustre, Sta. Catalina, Talon-Talon, Kasanyangan, Mampang and surrounding areas. The city is at a stand still and the mayor of Zamboanga Maria Isabel Climaco has placed the city on shut down, ordering all stores and schools to be closed. The Mujahidīn have stated that they aim to march upon city hall to raise the flag of Moro independence, this seems to suggest that this attack is not merely a ghazwah (raid) but is an attempt to re-liberate the city of Zamboanga and to return it to Muslim hands after centuries of Christian rule. QUOTE(kerolzarmyfanboy @ Sep 10 2013, 05:55 PM) i don't think MNLF would send their fighters to Sabah for now, if what they aim for (indepedence of Zamboanga) is true, then imo it would be wise for Misuari to concentrate his attention and troops on that city alone..it would be damn foolish of him to attack Sabah when our ATM troops are well-prepared and determined to fight them mundus now.. We cannot underestimate Misuari either...he's a battle-hardened guerilla fighter/leader who was in armed combat for years with Manila.Update: They are expecting Sulu reinforcements https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?stor...525720030800969 This post has been edited by menj: Sep 10 2013, 10:04 PM |

QUOTE(kimyee73 @ Sep 11 2013, 12:06 PM) This is undermining the peace agreement between Phil govn and MILF. What is MILF doing about it? or maybe Phil and Mal govns negotiated with the wrong group. I think that it has not been mentioned that Misuari's MNLF faction recently declared independence-- calling themselves "Bangsamoro Republik" -- and that they want to include Sabah and Sarawak in this new nation of theirs? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangsamoro_Republik Can anyone see the bigger picture here? This is no small-scale conflict. |
