Hi, any users of Y480 or Y580 encounter wifi issue after upgraded to windows 10?
The network adapter seem working fine but however the wifi is unable to turn on after the upgrade, any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I did notice on this list, apparently Y480 model also not included for upgrade purpose.
But mine is without the SSD+ HDD configuration.

I've had zero issues on my Y580 with Win10. In fact, a lot better compared to Win8.1... Try to get latest wifi driver from Lenovo or from the chip provider (it's either Intel or Broadcom IINM)

Actually i tried on those drivers available from the support website, but seems certain software are not compatible with windows 10.

I suspect it was due to network adapter which is auto configured during the installation process (clean install windows 10). May i know which network adapter you installed in your Y580? i tried to use the Windows 8 version but it can't work.

By the way, i'm having Broadcom 802.11n & Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 as displayed under my device manager.

Perhaps u try to uninstall the residues WiFi win8/8.1 driver from the deivce manager or program? Refresh and see whether win10 can reinstall auto with its build in one or not..restart few times..

If still cannot ,try use win8.1 driver and set that exe installer with compability mode win8 before install..

Tried both ways, not working still bangwall.gif

I'm having Broadcom 802.11n for Wifi. Qualcomm Atheross is actually the LAN adapter.

Same like mine in that case, did you manually install your Broadcom driver? or windows 10 auto detect it?

i cannot exactly recall.... usually what I did is I will get every single driver for particular OS I'm installing. But in the case of Win10, I was too lazy and I had good experience before hand with my desktop and SP3 that I think I didn't install a new one and just let Windows take care of it....

but when anyone ask me "should I download a new one" my answer will always be "yes"... The one that comes with Windows or Windows Update usually will try to be stupid beyond anybody's comprehension...

Thanks for the feedback, probably it was due to different approaches between yours and mine. Anyhow, will try to wait and see if there is any official release of the drivers in the future. As i tried to search around all drivers also don't help much, called lenovo technical support team and they adviced me to revert back to Windows 7 rclxub.gif

Luckily i still able to use eternal at the moment, so not much issue yet until the point if i need to travel blush.gif
