QUOTE(king99 @ Oct 27 2013, 01:36 AM) got reach until 97+c ? lol...1st time buy gaming laptop....these temp scares me.. Normal I got 83-88c only but if push CPU 100% and OC GPU can get up to 95c. I never got any screen flicker or crashThe only way to play BF3 @ 1080p is to underclock the CPU to 2.0 Ghz from 2.4Ghz...or else it will throttle and causes the screen to flicker.... After underclock also hover around 95c |

I have Y480 and recently installed Windows 8.1 but Dolby Home Theater v4 doesn't seem to work. I had it all installed, open the application but there's no sign of differences when I adjust the equalizer. Please help me the application is too tempting and I can't live without a proper-tuned speakers!

I hope by June Y410P price will be dropped. I want to buy that laptop, it's a good budget gaming/multimedia laptop and I won't go for 1080P. It takes too much graphical performance.

QUOTE(slimfox @ May 15 2014, 06:58 AM) Nope. Wasn't enough. 860M GTX still can't perform that good in 4k resolutions. 4k itself cramps a lot of hardware.QUOTE(ghyeng @ May 15 2014, 03:17 PM) Sir are you joking? Find me any game that cannot run in medium~high settings with GTX 860M in 1080p. surely 1080p is orait but I'm talking about 4k here. Still is, 860M didn't run that fast in 1080p, that's why I stay away with 1080p. 900p is the maximum reso I would push, more than that probably for surfing or editing videos, that might help much. |

QUOTE(slimfox @ May 16 2014, 07:19 PM) You sure bo? My 650m sli which is bout a GTX 660 (if not mistaken, too lazy to google) can do 1080p med-high setting for World of Tanks and high for Warframe. You are talking about GPU's which is about 2 generations ahead wor? 650m SLI is roughly equal to 675m. Yeah but 1080p already cannot go full settings wanna go for a higher FHD? Surely kura-kura speed mehhhIf that is the case nvidia is making good money by just rebranding and marketing le. FHD is not a total bullshrite (but it was a total one in smartphones, stupid move) but it tends to be overhyped. No need for 4k, at least for now. |

QUOTE(slimfox @ May 17 2014, 01:21 PM) Its full HD la the screen. 1080p=1920x1080. WOT is a funny game. You go forums guys with new desktops setup also complaining about why they cannot get high graphic settings. hah lah I've said higher FHD. It could be 2k, 3k, 4k call it watever u want. Just my personal opinion, not a harcore gamer but once, a long time ago during 2006-2007 people wanna push up to 1600x1200 resolutions (4:3 aspect ratio) and it wasn't relevant at that time but now it was but on 16:9/16:10. I totally get it but higher than FHD right now is a goner. 1080p tak cukup lawa lagi ka |

QUOTE(ghyeng @ May 17 2014, 01:48 PM) Learn before you speak nonsense bro. You said "why FHD ahh Y50? It's too much. Games would run like sh*t.", and now you say you said 4K. 4K is QHD (Q stands for Quad). FHD is 2K (F stands for Full). Sorry, my bad. Typo I was meant to write QHD not FHD lol So you want Lenovo to put a 900p screen in a 15.6" laptop so that people can only game and work and watch movies in 900p but not the standard 15.6" FHD? LOL. If you don't like FHD, then go change your resolution down and enjoy your max settings in 900p. I would stay at 1080p with medium-high settings which is WAY BETTER. And also, 4K can be perfectly scaled down to 1080p when you need to smooth gaming, and switch back to 4K when movies, edit Photoshop etc. Also, it is OPTIONAL, as a premium option. Nuff said, my point being, you happy you buy you no happy then nobody cares. I definitely won't be so stupid to put a 900p screen in a performance 15.6" laptop, so does Lenovo. Don't mean no harm. It was my personal opinion. Bear it on your way. I won't go further for 4k devices. At least not yet. I don't even have 1080p devices (I owned HTC One before, bullshrite phone no need 1080p). I see smartphones already on the move with QHD resolutions which is pure bullshrite for me. What? Bigger resolution more modern approach? I don't think so |

I bought Y510P for about month ago then sold it yesterday to get Y50. But mines not the 4k one. FullHD and US set for about RM3000. Practically the same experience with Y510P I might say, only graphics, slimmer, a bit better speakers.

QUOTE(simon82 @ Jul 20 2014, 05:48 PM) Any y50 user here that bought the UHD version? What's your opinion on this? I owned 1080p version and I would say why would people would wanna buy UHD version when it cramps a lot of power especially on gaming. I know it was for future proof usage but upon this time 1080p was more than enough. If dont have fhd version also OK... This is my no. 1 target for new laptop for now... Saw a lot of youtube videos but then user opinion more important for me... A proud user of Y50-70 |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jul 28 2014, 02:41 PM) Whats? Probably Microsoft were forcing people to buy W8.1. Sure can but don wan no issues lah plez MS Look like they are making the wrong move and pushing their sales to competitors. btw, 860M really did a great job on OC. I could go up to 750mhz higher mem clock, my previous Y510P 755M GT could OC only 400mhz. |
