Booting up my Lenove Y580 seems slow. Using the original preloaded Windows 8 and my laptop does not have a SSD.

I plan to do a clean OS install but how to do it without losing the preloaded Windows 8 license?

Any ideas?

hey guys, I've performed a windows 7 clean install on my Lenovo y580. Everything seems fine but not the wireless LAN adapter.

Windows 7 device manager says the 'Network Controller' has error. Tried to uninstall and re-install the Intel WLAN drivers a few already but still the same.

WLAN on BIOS is enabled. Also, turn on WLAN using Fn+F5. Anybody seen this problem before?

Can anybody share/upload your y580 WLAN driver for Win7 64-bit? Thanks in advance.
