no idea, did it just happened or from the start? hmm.gif
you register your system online, then later when you wanna claim the warranty, the service center just can check the machine detail from their server... i think tongue.gif

Hmm i see , if juz register it starts from Manufacturing Date right ? Need upload resit or something ?

Something interesting I found out about my buzzing sound.

Whenever I shut down my Y410p with the backlit keyboard brightness at medium ( off medium high). Other setting seams quiet

A short buzzing sound (high pitch) will appear from the top left part of the laptop around 3 second before the laptop completely shut down. ( Changing between backlight brightness will remove the sound completely and return as soon it turn back to medium).

The sound does not appear any time else.

Any gurus here might tell me if this is normal or something is wrong ?

Thanks

mine is y580, play dota with lenovo dynamic graphic

Minne will reach 98c on both CPU and GPU lol...gonna ask lenovo to repaste one day.

Any more Y410p/Y510p can share their GPU/CPU temp..cuz want to make sure its my unit issue before sending it to service..

My GPU peaked at 95c and CPU 98c when BF3.....

98c GPU when Furmark...

I think normal lah high temp playing games? Mine is Y480

got reach until 97+c ? lol...1st time buy gaming laptop....these temp scares me..

The only way to play BF3 @ 1080p is to underclock the CPU to 2.0 Ghz from 2.4Ghz...or else it will throttle and causes the screen to flicker....

After underclock also hover around 95c

i think is hardware , because..

1st case , running at normal 2.4Ghz, game flickers, temperature 97-98...i think it cutting my video feed to prevent 100c.

After that, i terus underclock to 2.1 Ghz, flicker stops...temps go to 95c

Need do more testing on this

Got my Y410p back from service and they change my fan and repaste and have some weird issues.

tried old and new drivers ( 4 of them ) still same issue. Guess back to service centre in next 3 months. (Going out of country for work =( )

Wonder why before service it can last longer with higher temperature....now lower temperature more worse =(

In Summary.

Before service.

GPU 95, CPU 96 ( Only Screen flickers no artifacts ) Temperature before that , example ( 92 / 93 ) have no issues.

After service.

GPU 88 , CPU 90 ( Artifacts + screen flicker ) after awhile screen blank with sound still playing

Send to 1U one......Temperature drop....other issue come out pulak =(

Maybe playing with external monitor still stress the GPU and CPU although lower temps ?

I know why my laptop keep flickering......somehow my processor underclock rapidly when high temp and when certain temp is achieved and it return back to default. This switching causing my GPU to go haywire also.

I turn off the turbo boost thing already.

weird as last time my CPU can handle more temps

Hmm, guess need to wait after my warranty only can fix my artifacts issue.

My guess is my original paste was bad, thus explaining very high temp.

After service they used the same paste but applied properly and reduce GPU temp but CPU still remains high.

I've read that my CPU max temp is 100c....so i guess it make sense to have issues at 93-94c.

btw i can reproduce the screen flicker by stressting the GPU and CPU with prime and furmark at the same time. Well BF3 /BF4 also stress that much but takes longer to cause it..

But i feel that sending in service will also be the same as they will do the same thing again.
.
