Hi, my friend have the Y520 with Nvidia 1050. How do I use a 144hz monitor with this laptop? He also has the Acer GN246HL.

I searched around that he will need something like this:

So to my understanding, he will need to use the USB-C port to output to the linked adapter and use the DVI dual link tu connect to his monitor.

Anyone tried and found any way to get the 144hz?
