Honestly not too worried about the warranty i take very good care of my "children" hahahaha

Anyway, what I want to ask is that;

1. OS is installed on 1TB HDD that has not been partitioned, I want to reinstall windows and partition the HDD to smth of 250GB+- & 750GB+-. How do I do that without the WIndows8 CD?

2. What is the 24GB SSD for? Can I install Windows on it?

answers,

1) its totally impossible. unless you have the win8 installation files in pendrive and use the pendrive to format and install the os. you can create partitions for your hard disk during the os installation process.

2) yes it is possible , try google , there is too many ways and confusing, also you will not able to use the one key recovery anymore and you need to extract windows 8 key before new installation. best method is to clone old hard disk to a new one.
What is the 24GB SSD for?
- this is special for your laptop as cache drive, meaning it will store frequent use application/software and you can open/close/operate it faster, e.g. faster win 8 boot, faster load time, faster everything. but it is not as fast as the real SSD because yours should be msata right?

- or you may use it for normal storage like normal hard disk.

- installing win8 into <64gb anySSD is not recommended as the system files or applications updates grows, you will have a tiny space left.
good luck soldier.

Hahahaha yes I have a few other Children that I take care of with extreme care... LOL
You talk about cloning a HDD, an idea came to mind help me verify if this is possible...

1) Clone OS into an external HDD
2) Set-up bios to boot from external HDD
3) Wipe clean HDD in laptop
4) Partition
5) Clone back OS from external HDD into new partition.

OR

1) Clone OS into an external HDD
2) Remove HDD from laptop n place into PC
3) Wipe clean HDD via PC
4) Partition
5) Clone back OS from external HDD into new partition
6) Place HDD back into laptop

OK i'm torn between partitioning my HDD and losing OneKey recovery and not partitioning and potentially losing future data.

Can someone break this tie breaker for me? Help me decide to either keep OneKey Recovery or partition out my HDD
