My Lenovo Y500 is less than 6 months old and now facing charging issues. It does not charge and stays with 7% battery...
Is warranty for battery still on(I mean does is it valid in warranty period? coz I heard warranty for battery is diff from the laptop itself)? And how much do I need to pay for the battery if warranty is finish?

My Notebook (Lenovo Y500 year 2013) has this problem and it's giving me headache to use it for work.
1. Last week, the laptop is power ON but screen stays blank(no backlighting and etc)! It was Ok on the night before... Then the same day at night, I try turn my notebook on and the screen works. 2. The next day, the laptop did it again (with the same problem... power is ON but screen stays blank)... But at night, no problem at all. rclxub.gif So at that night, I backup everything and reformat the laptop. 3. The laptop was OK for couple of days but today the problem came back! It goes blank for like an hour... After 15 minit I took out the battery and the charger, the screen is OK. I can use it for work now.
However, I'm still worried the problem might come again. So I'm thinking whether I should fix it myself, or sent it for a warranty.
Plus, I don't know what causes this. Could it be the motherboard? Or Something else?
If I want to sent it for warranty, how can they detect when the problem is come and go?
