hi guys, anyone knows where I can get the Lenovo Y510P ultrabay with caddy for another HDD? I was told to order from lenovo, not sure is there any in Penang? And how much is the estimated price? My unit is the single GTX750 with DVD drive.
I was thinking to install Samsung 830 128GB SSD on the primary drive, while the 1TB HDD on the secondary (ultrabay caddy).
Please assist thanks!

I have check an authorized Lenove dealer in Penang, for ultra bays, they can only order for the graphics card, the DVD drive and the extra fan ultrabays. No order for hard disk caddy ultrabay. Is this true? I dont want to resort to cheap ones available thru lelong Oh, Lenovo Y510P Single GPU owner here 0/

QUOTE(briantwj @ Nov 25 2013, 07:08 PM) Guys, just wanna survey, hope can get some feedback from u guys. Does the Y410p and Y510p gets heated up easily? Let's say if I'm using direct power supply and gaming (PES 2013) for about 1 hour without any cooler pad, will it overheat or will the temperature reach quite high? By heating up easily, I mean I can rest my palm across the surface of the keyboard without feeling the heat. The last time i tested was playing Civ5 at full reso and max settings for 8 hours straight. Using CPUID HWMoninor, the high temp achieved for CPU & GPU was around 70C. Their idle around 40C. This is without using any notebook cooler.

QUOTE(rlwx95 @ Nov 29 2013, 01:47 AM) Hello new user for Y510P single graphics reporting in! Seller gave me 3 years McAfee for free but I read some comments saying it's the cause of lag... Should I use it or sell? Bought mine from a lenovo retail outlet, price was abit high but it's fresh MY set c/w 2 year warranty. I plan to play bf4 &codG soon, what's the normal temperature when playing the game after a couple of hours? If temp high can send back for warranty? How do you guys check the temperature? Thanks in advance! Same here bro. First day i noticed laptop lag like hell, McAfee keep spamming my Civ5 games. Then I uninstall it on second day, smoothing sailing until now. Definitely remove it

QUOTE(everettsyj @ Dec 6 2013, 09:56 PM) hi.. i want to ask any of you feel that y510p very slow? the processor.. have you uninstall the preinstalled mcafee antivirus? It's the culprit that been hogging most of the resources. Once you remove it, everything will be fast like supercar!

QUOTE(Nxxbkiller @ Dec 21 2013, 01:44 PM) Did any y510p user facing performance problem when using battery? The gaming performance is terrible without plugging in ac adapter. That is because Windows/nvidia settings detect that you are on battery, hence it switch to Intel HD graphics, not nvdia GPU. It is always practical to connect the power adapter if you decided to game on the laptop
