Hmm, guess need to wait after my warranty only can fix my artifacts issue.

My guess is my original paste was bad, thus explaining very high temp.

After service they used the same paste but applied properly and reduce GPU temp but CPU still remains high.

I've read that my CPU max temp is 100c....so i guess it make sense to have issues at 93-94c.

btw i can reproduce the screen flicker by stressting the GPU and CPU with prime and furmark at the same time. Well BF3  /BF4 also stress that much but takes longer to cause it..

But i feel that sending in service will also be the same as they will do the same thing again.

make them replace the whole mobo.
usually what happens after repeated RMAs.
Got it for a few Asus Memopads with touch screen problems, but havent gone that hardcore with lenovo products yet laugh.gif

Will think about it when I returned to Malaysia.

Btw does stressing 100% on both CPU and GPU valid way to test overheating ?
*
running prime and 3dmark. yes.

thats how i found my my 6950 was dying 3 months before it actually fried on me smile.gif

(1xGT750, 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM, i7-4700)
Just got mine and found out it doesn't perform as well as i expected
Opening apps and right clicking is slow, slower than my desktop (i5- 2400, GTX 560 TI, 12GB RAM) is it because of hardware issue or window issue?
*

I bought from Brightstar Computer in lowyat this year Feb. Should i claim from Brightstar or just send to lenovo service center?
*
just send to service center, send to company, they send to service center also........
why go through middlemen, especially when they'll charge you a service fee if warranty after 1st year.

Send Directly to the main service center in Damansara

hey everyone, where i can buy M.2. SSD for my Y410p in Malaysia ? and also the SSD/HDD ultabay ?
*
Ultrabay can order from service center or any Lenovo Experience Store. m2 AFAIK, no one sells them in Malaysia.......(yet) God luck, mSATA though yes.

QUOTE(LVL1NiNjA @ May 29 2014, 02:01 PM)
Sorry, it's U410p with 1.6GHz of Intel Dual-Core i5.
*
second hand? cause AFAIK the only brand new u series is the U430T, The only U410P that i can find comes with a GT610M graphics card and 3rd Gen i5, not 4th gen.

infact,

We are selling all kind of M.2 SSD. No need pre order, just walk in buy and go

For Y510/Y410P its a 2242, Crucial Doesn't produce this size for Y410/Y510P but they have other sizes.

There is another brand which local distributor about to carry into malaysia.
*
Which company do you represent? FCC, brightstar or what? smile.gif
what brands of m2 are available with you guys at this moment ? From what i can see, Malaysia enthusiast market moving a bit slow la, even AMD kaveri chips are rare oddities in MY market.

Of course, DOTA 2 not that graphics intensive.
It's powered by the Source Engine for pete's sake. 10 years old engine.

wanna get it for designing purposes.

pls dont flame me  laugh.gif

If not using Maya or 3dMax, i doubt you'll need a gaming laptop.
Overall, specs between both laptops are rather similar, just get the one that looks better than your eyes.
or wait for Y40 or Y50 coming out soon.

ah i see. mostly photoshop n illustrator ba, wanna get a good spec one so that can last longer.
thanks for the info smile.gif

dont bother, laptop Proc nowadays pretty powerful too.
Just get a laptop around 1.5-2k, strap an SSD into it and you're done.
Buying gaming laptops for Photoshop and Illustrator is overkill.
Just get a cheap laptop with SSD, i3 minimum la.
