QUOTE(diversity @ Jan 30 2016, 07:32 PM) Is lenovo y50-70 FHD known for its screen issues? suddenly mine started to have a bit of static and turn black one sec and back to normal. I bought from reseller, and they told me its a known issue and say never mind one lah big problem time only bring back for warranty Used a Y50-70 FHD for a little over a year. Never had that problem.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 3 2018, 11:49 AM) i bought a y520 1060 3gb version, opened the laptop installed latest driver, realized it comes with a half-baked Max-Q version, summore is a 3gb max-q version. Any lenovo representative here can confirm on this? i wanna return the product if it is max-q.. There should be a model number on the laptop you can use to check on Google. Just by randomly searching, I can confirm that a Y520 1060 Max-Q 3GB model does indeed exist.

QUOTE(shirogawawa @ Jan 3 2018, 03:40 PM) how sure you can confirm that ? are you Lenovo Malaysia HQ worker ? Just Google it. I didn't know until the previous person brought this up. He's not the first person reporting incomplete information about the laptop.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 3 2018, 04:29 PM) same thing only bro, just type MAX-Q also cannot, blame format? Later i will inform admin for improvement. If u got stock i will buy from u but ur attitude is.. worst than salesman. Maybe ure not a salesman, cant blame u. That's why, all this seller never want to put the spec, then wait for water fish that they never know is non-max-q, they see as long as is 1060 then ok oledi. It's ok i now bring it up here so people will aware about Y520 1060 is MAX-Q version. Just to add on, I noticed that it seems to be the norm for major manufacturers to not mention that the GPU they are using is now Max-Q and instead just market it as a 1060/1070/1080 with no mention of the MaxQ variant on the websites. If you dig further down, it is listed somewhere in the online manuals but who does that anyway? Just randomly looked around Asus/Lenovo/Dell/HP websites. They make it as obscure as possible for you to realize it is a MaxQ design. Be extra cautious when buying.
