I Y580 almost 2 years now.

Damaged within 1st year, when I travel to UK. They changed the board inside the laptop (took 2 weeks).

Last month, the USB + BT damaged, got it replaced yesterday.

Surprisingly found that the WIFI used to be max at 72mbps, now can reach 150mbps yawn.gif

Anyway, I started to worry, because it had already damaged twice. Maybe I know where can I buy the extended warranty before my 2 years warranty expire (very soon)?

Has anyone figured out how to install Windows 10 with all the correct drivers?

Me, once upgraded, Windows Update will download the drivers by itself

I don't upgrade, I install new.

Want to ask, Y580 user here

I wanna replace my Internal HDD with a new SSHD, may I know what are the ports for it? mSATA or SATA?

I've installed a 1TB mSata without removing my SATA.

The only trick is make sure you ask for the screw when you purchase your mSata SSD.

I am having Y580, i7, with 16GB RAM + 1TB mSATA Evo850.

Almost 4 years now. Sent in for service twice.

1st time, motherboard issue, difficult to switch on.
2nd time, USB, WIFI, BT issue. Unable to connect

So fast so good. But I am thinking to upgrade now.

Why Y500 is still using intel 3rd gen CPU? Is there any newer model which is replacing the Y580 series?
