i jsut bought the Lenovo Y400 which is running on Nvidia GT 650M, was thinking of buying the gpu bay but unsure if the Y400 supports SLi dual gpu card like its brother Y500

i didnt know there was a Y500 when i bought the Y400.. i was rushing to buy it as well..in replace of my broken down Asus G55VW which i broke one week ago.. impulse buying without thinking, but the lenovo Y Series impress me very much with its removable bay allows the user to swap according to ones need. Loved the Red keyboard light up..much better than my previous laptop.. and most of all its damn not heavy like G55VW 4kg weight..like a tank that one...

this Y400 will be my good friend when i travel back to work most of the time traveling and i do enjoy my gaming as well thanks for the clarification on the dual gpu..it would be cool to see two gpu's running at the same time ( ishoulhave bought Y500)

in the end i have to admit to what storm88 saying why need the extra gpu for the Y400 at a resolution 1366x768, instead of buying the extra gpu bay..i got the extra fan bay

i got it for rm75 for the fan bay, i still await for arrival will check if it does make any difference with the extra fan bay and post it up soon.

of course GT650M dual mode u cannot compare to a single GT750M, and also the GT750M is just an overclocked Kepler GK107 same same with the GT650M, ie. 967 MHz (GT750M) vs 900 MHz (GT650M)

The 650M and 750M are in the same level just different generations so the 750M will just be slightly better and more power efficient however neither of them will do amazing for gaming but they should work just fine.. I'd say GT650M SLi if u can just go for it.

what application do you use to OC the GPU bos?

Mine hovering around 41'C ~ 44'C +- on idle temp

ahhhh just as simple like that only? dang i thought those works on Desktop GPU ohhh its the same principle OC on Laptop GPU oso ya..i see..
