OC is not suitable for mobile systems. Cramp spaces and heat dont go along well.. even cooling pad dont provide significant cooling for laptops. But that's just my 2 cents.. want to oc? buy a desktop system. |

The keyboard, when i press shift with 2, the symbol should out (@) , but it out (") and the number 3 also same problem. How can I change keyboard output ?? Can anyone help ? |

Hey guys, may I ask how the Lenovo Y400 perform is these section.
Sound - Is it nice, loud and clear? How does it compare to Y500? Screen - How is the colour produced and viewing angle? Keyboard - Is typing good? The keyboard itself feels good? Trackpad - Is using the trackpad as good as a MacBook or slightly worse or better? And finally, can you guys managed to get 4 hours+ on this laptop on full charge without secondary GPU? |

Other than that, maybe if you're using removable drive to store the flashing utilities, make sure it won't get removed accidentally... got this covered, usually not much can mess you up.... the power supply interruption always haunts me when I'm flashing new BIOS on desktops since I dont have UPS and there's no guarantee the power in my house going to be ok... Hi Guys, my laptop is DOS Y400, and waiting for my msata drive(128GB).
Currently windows n software occupied 80GB of my 500gb hdd. Is it possible to move windows and all of it content to msata after i installed it? If possible, what are the step needed? Hope that sifu here can help. Thank you. |

U can hide the partition D after u install ur custom windows using PowerQuest Partition Table Editor (If the partition make u uncomfortable when u open My Computer ) and unhide it back when u want to set the laptop back to factory setting. It doesnt damage the partition at all. I used this software as well to hide my "privacy things" in there Hope this help |

hi guys... my Y400 temps when Dota 2 on Max settings, AA off.

hello again guys... I uninstalled Mcafee, and tried to turn on Windows Defender Real time protection. keeps getting error message unable to turn on... any one facing this issue?

Does anyone having a problem that sometimes u want to wake ur screen from black (auto turn off screen after 20mins i think),
the screen keep blinking, show then off then show then off keep repeat when i move my mouse or press a key on keyboard, if i dont press key or move mouse, it will become black again.. Hey guys...
I started up my laptop as usual this morning and came to realise that the speakers are not producing any sound at all... Plugged in my headset and there's sound coming out but the speakers are not. Speakers dead..? What gives~? Common issue or...??? Edit : Nevermind, reinstalled audio driver and gave the speaker a good whacking and it's back to normal again... Guys wanna ask, what's the difference between our local set of y400 and us set y400. It seems like us set got better specs. If US set, will there be any problem if I wanna claim warranty later? Or should I just buy the local Malaysia set?

guys I just bought my y400, free dos.
When i got back home, I tried to install my ehem2 windows 7, and once i finished install it, i put the drivers cd to install the drivers for my laptop hardware. Unfortunately when it comes to VGA, i cannot install the nvidia GPU. It kept saying "Install Cannot Continue: This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I kept trying for few times and its still the same, which I cant install my GT750M. Did anyone experience the same problem as me? Please help. Im very dissapointing now. Is it because my set is defect or something? Or this GT750M only compatible Windows 8? Please help me guys. |

Hi.
I have a question to ask, need your advise since you guys are Lenovo Y400 users. I just bought Lenovo Y400. I'm facing a problem with the graphic card Nvidia GT750m installation. The drivers cd that is provided with the set doesn't seems to help with the installation of the GPU. Everytime I try to install the driver of Nvidia, it says Nvidia installer cannot continue, this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. I tried to find the driver at Nvidia website and even Lenovo website, but still cant find any of GT750m driver. Please advise me on how to handle this issue. V-sync also depends a lot on how the game is programmed as well... it can cause micro-stutter (e.g in Hitman Absolution)... it also can cause less responsive inputs (casual gamers might not mind, but competitive players always complains about this)... and I don't think V-sync helps to reduce the GPU loads, instead it can cause the load to increase and reducing the framerate... You should try first and see if it cause any trouble... if it makes you more uncomfortable than screen tearing, just disable V-sync... I disabled it in Hitman Absolution simply because the micro-stutter actually bothers me more than screen tearing...As for the monitor, normally monitor comes with 60Hz... but some rare-breed expensive gaming monitors does comes with 120Hz (which usually compatible with nVidia 3DVision) |

The amazing thing is I can play games on my 51" TV via HDMI (I play World of tanks) in full HD while getting great frame rates. Currently no complains so far for my y500. Absolutely, the build of y400 could really be better. The hinge especially, although it's tight, but it can be better. My old Asus was doing a great job.

Can anyone recommend me any physical shop in Klang Valley to buy the Y500, and if anyone can roughly tell me the price for GT650m SLI, 750m and 750m sli would be good.
Uncle doesn't trust online reseller, so can't buy from them |
