Hi Guys, I just saw this on the Lenovo Forum. http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-...RY/td-p/1113853Basically, there is a problem on the Y series motherboards. If you were to use the Lenovo energy management system 8.0 & do a full charge & discharge cycle for the battery, the battery would stop charging. Better read through.

No problem. I'm not sure on local spec, but so far 8GB RAM is enough for gaming. I would recommend 8GB, but if you are a careful user (e.g not multitasking, no chrome in the background while gaming) people report 4GB is still enough, but I would recommend at least 8GB... SSD will only make the laptop boots faster and games loads faster. I find normal mechanical HDD is good enough, but if you it is too slow and have extra money, why not...

OK i'm torn between partitioning my HDD and losing OneKey recovery and not partitioning and potentially losing future data.
Can someone break this tie breaker for me? Help me decide to either keep OneKey Recovery or partition out my HDD

QUOTE(Tuyin @ Aug 29 2013, 05:49 PM) Damn...I was one of them...and still waiting for my laptop Hi Tuyin, Which model is yours? Y510P? Another let down is according to Devour, even though the Y510P have a M.2 slot available, no connector is installed, so cannot install a M.2 SSD later. Not sure if this is true for all the Malaysian Y510P. Timkai Lenovo, timkai?!?

QUOTE(Tuyin @ Aug 30 2013, 12:57 AM) Mine is Y500...don't try your luck with lenovo batt software Since you mentioned that you are waiting, can I assume that you have faced this problem & your laptop is currently being repaired by Lenovo? If so, could you post a report on how their service is like. Hopefully nowhere near as bad as the Asus Service Center.
