guys, a beginner question, does Y400(the one with ivy and GT750m) comes with a mSata slot?

yup tested and working with win 8 pro 64bit. no issue.

so its a full fledge mSata slot? Coz i heard rumours it has some limitations. Not sure about that

IINM, Y410P/510P the length is 42mm.

and btw, the ultrabay fan, does it help? Coz from the look of it it seems like decorative purpose only. It doesn't connect to anything

can anyone tell me which graphic driver is the most stable now for y580 gtx660m? my last update was at march.. didnt update my drivers because many people complain about BSODs.

I always run whatever latest driver published by them never encounter any problems so far... running on Win8

already test latest beta driver that best with Splinter Cell Blacklist

same thing one. if you take the model with gt750m. i dont think there's much difference. only the proc

i've read about microstutter for y510p... how bad will it affect game performance?

Both the Y500 & Y510P run hot.
Y510P runs hotter though but if you're using a single GPU instead of the dual GPU, you can enable Optimus which runs the Intel HD Graphics if I am not mistaken. This doesn't work if you've plugged in the second NVidia GT750M in the ultrabay though.
