Just wondering if you guys have submitted your request for internet? Apparently there's some delay because the quota for internet is not there. Please do submit your requests for Unifi guys...

Also the students at my lane are pretty noisy and they accelerate their bikes in the house, out of their house etc. Getting pretty annoyed with them and its just a matter of time before I lose my patience.

One even got almost knocked by me when I was going out this morning. Driving towards the mini roundabout of my lane, this motorcyclist was coming into the lane, going home. He didn't use the roundabout (shortcut to just turn in the lane) and he was looking the other side checking out a chick walking. He was damn close to being knocked down. Skidded and hit the horn pretty long.

The other time when I was coming home, using the roundabout to get into my lane, the car behind me used the shortcut (bypassing the roundabout and we almost hit side by side.

I don't understand these ppl. Are they really that stupid or what..? Damn these monkeys.

Hi all, i had moved in since oct, so far quite satisfy with the area, just the management really lack of experience to manage the place and comes out with some rules that not really helps. however, the security guards really very polite.

By the way, i had the bad smell problem in both of my downstair's and master room's toilets. when using the toilet, i cannot close the door (toilet) for more than 2 mins. i have to switch on the fan, open the toilet door and windows. else the bad smell will come out. wonder if any resident encounter this problem?

bro, the bad smell issue in my master bedroom solved.  rclxms.gif

previously i found there is a hole on the floor tile right behind the water closet, thus i called ken grouting to help me fix it. after they help me to fix on last friday, there is no more bad smell (perhaps it doesnt come back again  notworthy.gif ).

according to the worker, that hole very deep, he used a lot of cement to fill it up

try to look at ur toilet too, i hope this helps  smile.gif
*
U mean a hole at the cement surrounding the toilet bowl?

Yea I had that last time. How I found out was because I saw a cockroach and it ran to the hole behind the bowl. It used to smell in the master bedroom but not anymore after they came to fill up the hole...

Hmmm maybe I should snoop around my toilet. Must have some hole or something somewhere. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Thanks for the headsup. Yes I'm planning to build wall to replace the current green fence. Unfortunately, one of my neighbours is also renting out to students.
But if the neighbours are contactable, consent should come easy since we are bearing the cost for building the wall? Does management have some sort of consent template that we can use, or just email approval from them is fine?
*
from what I know u can build your wall without your neighbour's consent so long as you do not interfere with the fence and its within your area (until the fence). do not go beyond the fence towards your neighbour's area.

Hope this helps.

I guess one way is that u could keep the taps switched on, so there'll be no water retention in the tanks
*
This wont solve the problem. The outlet pipe is about 2 inch above the floor of the tank. So you will have about 2 inch of water below at all times.

The tanks are failed products of KEN that puts us at great risks. They know it but yet they push the responsibility to us. This issue with the tanks were due to the complaints I've made with them after my mum got diagnosed with dengue. They checked and found the rain water harvest tanks a breeding place for mosquitoes. MBSA did not confirm on these tanks.

The payment of RM5 per month is principally unjust. I've had enough issues with the management and their failure to ensure that we live in a safe environment. To them their award is more important than the life of the residents.

Fogging won't do a thing. Its just a waste of time and to mask the underlying issue which they are aware about. Even if there are those who pays for the maintenance of it there will be others who won't. Then the issue still persists. It has to be an uniform decision. We have to stick to our decision as a whole; as a community; as neighbors.

To me, their meeting last Sunday was just to dictate how we should live and what to pay. They sent an incompetent person to speak. We need someone who listens not defend. I have sent many emails to them regarding the tanks and also wrote on their facebook page as the final avenue. Will see how this goes.

I am never going to pay that RM5. Not even if it is 50cents. Principals. Its their screw up. I don't care about the MOT I signed - Its the lives of my family and residents concerned. I didn't pay half a million for a house where I need to close my windows and doors at all times; a house where my nephews and nieces cant walk or chill outside.

Hi there. No offence to anyone in particular.
Accepted that not everyone will agree to our views or proposals on certain issues. Whatever differences and disagreements there is in any neighborhood can be addressed and eventually resolved amicably among the owner residents and the management.
That, is the excellent idea of having a resident committee with office bearers and elected by the other members to represent the residents. When nothing else is really achievable, issues can be judicially reviewed at great expense to all concerned.
All the best to your stay in Jimbaran residences next year.
A Pleasant week to All.

You're very right to a certain extent but where it concerns life/ health risks, it should be acted upon swiftly and professionally in a timely manner, in this case the rainwater harvesting tank which breeds mosquitos.

We have different goals but for me, I have a family and its my duty to protect them at all costs.

Deal with them for awhile and you will soon understand the frustration. All that is needed is a long term solution to this issue. To date I got 0 replies.

Hi YaRerd. Yes, I've mentioned to them many times with no replies as well.

On a side note, I don't think the management fees we are paying is in tandem with the service we are getting. My email is below;

Dear Genesis,

Any updates on this?

I also notice the guards allowing people into the neighbourhood and they do not call before letting anyone in anymore.

Please revert, I'm tired of having to follow up on what is supposed to be your job (which we are paying for).

Thanks.

Kevin Nair

Hi Wong,

Good day. It has been awhile since the abate was dropped into our tanks and we were promised on the formation of a committee.

As expected and with the email sent on 8/07 below which we have not received any reply, the formation of the committee did not materialize.

Moving forward, kindly confirm on the decision of the abate at the same time a long term solution. Aedes mosquitoes are appearing again and we notice many mosquitoes when we dry our clothes at the porch.

On top of this; we hope that the management could also look into the below issues;

1) Manhole surrounding the area. They have cracked and sunk in. I have personally tripped into the manhole a couple of times while walking along the lanes at night
- Suggestion to install a warning of no parking to ensure cars do not park there if it cannot withstand the weight.

2) Strays in the ares. I managed to find the access of the stray dogs into the neighborhood. They are getting access from the fencing facing the road and field outside. The fencing at the ground looks like they have been cut open or forced apart.
Also, the fencing and trees towards the basketball court seems bare. We need some maintenance in this area

3) Grass and trees outside our area seems unkempt. Weeds popup from the surrounding of the manhole covers. Lights along alleys and ponds are not replaced and does not work at night.

With the payment of the resident's maintenance fees being made promptly due to the process and procedures introduced by Genesis, we hope that similar process and procedures could be applied in handling of complaints made by us residents to increase the turnover rate of our issues.

Thanks.

Regards,
Kevin Nair

Dear Wong,

As spoken yesterday, below are my inputs.

The management has misunderstood the overall issue. I mentioned if there was no solution to this issue, a removal of the rain water harvest tank would need to be done. Logically, it would not make a difference on the removal of the tank from my house alone, but the whole neighborhood.

Again, I am going to mention my concerns;

1) Rain Water Harvest Tank - breeding of mosquitoes. How is the management going to tackle this issue on a long term solution? Please do not give "forming of resident's committee" as a solution. Let's take the worst case of not having formed the RC.

2) Costs of this.

3) You mentioned the first abate will be from the Home owner's fund but your email mentioned it is FOC? Or did I miss something?

Regards,
Kevin Nair

Friendly approach? This one I encountered is nuts. Minding my own business, she/he will suddenly bark, while inching towards me. Not the testing water bark but snarling, teeth-bared growl/bark. I'm usually okay towards dogs but this one freaked me out. Thought it's going to attack.

b**** has issues.. i usually walk my dogs at night and she doesnt approach my male one.. only the female always kena.. she hangs out in 16/22A, at the front gate of a house which has a male dog.. pretty loyal b**** if u asked me..
