This is our collection of servers. We occupy 1/3rd of a rack with 6 servers. 4 are operational, 1 is waiting power supply replacement, and 1 more will be retired.




That's the old hard disk and our new SSD from the latest Intel S3700.


In the end we improvized with some cardboard to get the SSDs in I'll be running some tests on them while se7en is preparing the caddies at home.

its a hosting dc service.. im guessing they rented the whole rack or just by U units

The caddy should fit the SSD. The screws on the caddy were too tight so we couldn't swap out the hard disk.

Is there anyone else in LYN who can make the database/server maintenance?
It's seems like a bad idea to depend on 1 person to do all these works.
I kinda remember once when you rushed from airport to fix the server crash.

just need server admin/ db optimizer/ and maintainance engineer
