Haha... seems like a dying Klipsch Fans Club....

Anyways, after so many years, I'm still a very proud owner of a Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1

Er... I've to admit I paid an arm and leg for it,way much more than what it should've cost, due to it's shortage and rarity in MY(i dunno how true this is, but the vendor said there is no more than 10 such units in MY). I think i 'invested' something like ~RM2.5k on the speakers....which is about twice what it would've cost if one had purchased it directly in the states....

but.... i feel it's all worth it, to be able to experience klipsch horn tweeters and its wonderfully amazing sub-sonic frequencies... the bass is one-of-a-kind...the ooomph, the intensity... for a computer speakers that is... haha... rclxm9.gif

just for information only...

Klipsch GMX A 2.1 Cut-Cost

i got nothing to do today so i opened up my GMX,
then i start to google until i come up to GMX amp.

then i start to compare the pictures to my GMX. surprisingly, there are some differences.
mainly are the capacitors used., one is using NCD, another is using ELCON.

here is the picture to prove. i assume, that the one with NCD caps and fuse are the older batch.

I Have Owned MANY Pairs of Klipsch Classic Speakers such as Cornwalls and LaScalas Even Had a pair of Cornerhorns when I had the space. I Love The Dynamic Ooomph and Powerful Bass notes. As I got older I started hearing speakers with more accuracy like studio JBLs (4408 4410 etc) And have gone more in that direction for stereo reproduction. I do still have a pair of Klipsch RS-62's for my rear surround and LOVE the Dynamics of them for that particular application. I certainly understand the appeal they do sound GREAT and are very easily powered to blistering heights oh to be young again ....lol

The original THX®-certified ProMedia 2.1 was introduced in 2000, and over the years it has become one of the highest praised, best-selling products Klipsch has ever produced. Therefore, Klipsch designed the ProMedia 2.1 Wireless to sound just like it.

With or without wires, the ProMedia remains the defacto 2.1 standard for computer speakers—it’s even been known to put some home theaters to shame.

So get ready to kiss lackluster performance goodbye because with the ProMedia 2.1 Wireless, you’ll be swept away by the sheer power, detail and emotion of your favorite music, movies and games. In fact, you won’t believe the performance of these wireless computer speakers until you experience them for yourself.

--

If you use your laptop or notebook to listen to music, watch movies or play games, but want to get away from your desk and still enjoy true-to-life sound, the ProMedia 2.1 Wireless computer speakers are for you.

The ProMedia wirelessly “talks” to your computer via a USB wireless transmitter. All you have to do is plug the transmitter into your computer’s USB port and you’re ready to move around your room and still experience the big, powerful sound that’s made Klipsch an industry leader. It’s that simple—no router or installation software is required.

The transmitter can stream audio wirelessly from your computer to the ProMedia up to 30 feet away. Plus, its robust 2.4 GHz wireless technology won’t interfere with other wireless devices, such as cordless phones, so nothing stands in the way of you and amazing sound.

Tip: iPhone and iPod Touch owners with a Wi-Fi Connection can use Apple’s Remote Application to wirelessly control the iTunes on their computers.

it would be a perfect match for the wireless promedia 2.1 to be used with Griffin AirClick USB. thus it would be just like the klipsch i-fi. *God, I want one.

Im really really interested in the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 wireless. Is it sold in malaysia yet? I've always been a fan of the Promedia GMX A-2.1. But i can't find a new product of it.. So was opting for Logitech until i stumble upon this.. Any1 selling the old GMX 2.1 here? or I have to wait for this to launch here..

New Promedia 2.1 Wireless

Note the lack of 'switch' and lesser 'screws' found at the back of the metal plate. The promedia wireless seems to be following the old promedia style though.
