Hi all, I am considering to continue my study in semiconductor field. Recently I have found some info about tis field :

1) Taiwan University possess higher technologies and better instrument for research purpose.
2) Msia IPTA provide better research background than IPTS

By now i have some concern :

1) I am graduate from IPTS and I am close to lecturer in my uni. I know some of them are quite good. If continue my master in my uni i can receive around RM2000 per month. But the concern is the instrumentation in my uni is not sufficient for research purpose. Senior experiences proved that work were delayed due to instrument problem.

2) I not familiar with any local IPSA system and resource especially in semiconductor field.

3) The last thing, Msia cert in postgraduate can help me find researcher path in other country? What if compare to Taiwan postgraduate study, is it Msia cert is worth to take?

Thank you.

Taiwan is so much better than Malaysia in terms of semiconductor industry, especially in Hsinchu Science Park where you can find many top semiconductor manufacturers like TSMC and UMC.

I highly recommend you to consider NCTU and NTHU for your master's studies as they are both among the top 3 universities in Taiwan and physically close to the science park. For your information, the Malaysian pendrive inventor, Pua Khein-Seng was a student at NCTU.
