History from the past......KwK 40 was a German 7.5 cm WW2 vehicle mounted gun, used as the primary anti-tank weapon of the German medium tanks Panzer IV and Stug III. Along with the Pak 40, the KwK 40 was the most produced anti-tank guns of the German army. Both the Pak 40 and KwK 40 were effective against almost every Allied tank until the end of the war. The Pak 40 was first used in Russia where it was needed to combat the new Soviet tanks like the KV1 and T-34.

Also the infamous Marder III as well Hetzer and Jagdpanzer IV uses Pak 39 though (with exception of L/70 on "Guderian's Duck")

Was at HHQ yesterday for a short trip to KL. Plenty of 1/72 kit to be found there. Easymodel and dragon ready-made 1/72 and 1/48 is there. Get myself a revel GTK Boxer 1/72, M20 armour car and some german crisis reaction force 1/72 figure to go along with my german boxer and CTC leopard II. Will share the photo once it painted. Great place to be in for those looking for 1/72 stuff to go along with CTC.

QUOTE(riskbreaker @ Dec 7 2014, 03:21 PM) thanks Tiger I and DM101 for the info...appreciate u guys hard work... Thank you riskbreaker ! The Type 90 tank (90式戦車) is the main battle tank (MBT) of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) as of 2014. It was designed and built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as a replacement for all deployed Type 61 and Type 74 tanks, and entered service in 1990. It is to be superseded by the Type 10 tank.

Oh no, another series to collect again It's not a coincidence most British tanks start with C. Before WWII there were more than one class of tank and one of the classes was the 'Cruiser' tank and all names began with the letter C. The class system has been discontinued but the habit or tradition of naming tanks with a C initial remained. Some of the British tanks available in this Combat Tank Collection series are the Crusader, Churchill, Cromwell, Chieftain and the Challenger. Other British tanks starting with the letter C also include the Centaur, Conqueror, Comet and Centurion (no photo-shoots of these tanks are available as I do not have these models in my collection at this time)

Do you know....... By using the T-34 chassis, it helped speed up production of the SU-85 - which was in fact a provisional and stop-gap measure while waiting for the new T-34/85 (model shown below) to be produced.

QUOTE(Tiger I @ Dec 20 2014, 09:55 AM) as always dm101, very informational do keep it up yeah Thank you Tiger I Tiger II is the common name of a German heavy tank of the Second World War. The final official German designation was Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, often shortened to Tiger B. It is also known under the informal name Königstiger (German for "Bengal tiger"), often mistranslated as King Tiger or Royal Tiger by Allied soldiers.
