A German security consultant, who's also a commercial pilot, developed an app that can be used to hijack an airplane remotely, using just an Android phone. Speaking at the 'Hack in the Box' security summit in Amsterdam, the 'white-hat' hacker -- Hugo Teso showed off the ability of the app to change the speed, altitude and direction of a virtual airplane by sending radio signals to a flight-management system. The bug only happen on the flight simulator and not on the actual aircraft Source |

aircraft hardware is way diff from the demo pc they used to hack them.
