QUOTE(joytest @ Jun 20 2013, 05:46 PM) Where or how are you getting the 4.2V charger? Do you mean you will separately charge the 2600/2800 cells with the 4.2V charger before swapping out the notebook cells? I use my Lipo battery charger, hooked up to 2 magnets I've got ~20 18650 cells, but use them mainly in my flashlights.

Bump. I seem to have a weird issue with my Xiaomi 10,400 mAH powerbank. It takes quite a long time to charge full, and when it does i leave it idle. After a few hours, still can charge, despite it being full from earlier. Plugged in an inline reader, found that quite a lot of mAH is going in..

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 16 2015, 01:09 AM) There are 4 batteries inside. Typical genuine maximum mAh is about 3300 or maybe 3500 by Samsung, LG or Panasonic. Anything higher is strongly suspect. Was pulling ur leg la Just did a full discharge test on the powerbank. At a 2A discharge rate, the Xiaomi could only provide about 4,500 mAh, which goes to say that it is in fact, royally fucked. Yes, I know discharging at 2A will have a lower capacity than discharging at 1A (or 500 mA), the discrepancy is too big.. Review from goughlui.com| Load (mA) | Run | Capacity (mAh) | | 2000 | 1 | 8710.609887 | | 2000 | 2 | 8726.19427 | | 2000 | 3 | 8720.846757 | | 2000 | 4 | 8620.342065 | | 2000 | 5 | 8696.767613 | | Mean | | 8694.952118 |
Basically half the capacity is gone.
