Hi ya bro. You said that laptop batteries uses the same as Power Bank batteries. Thinking about this, my old IBM T40 battery already went kaput. Fully charge only can lasts about 5 minutes. Can I disassemble it replace the internal cell battery with new one?

All the power bank will have only about 80-85% actual conversation rate due to power loss.  A 5,600mah power bank will have only about 4,500mah actual capacity.  However, it should be enough to recharge about 3 times of a iphone battery already (1,450mah) . Please refer this post for understanding.
*
It is the conversion loss, depending the IC in use, output current, temperature etc.

what about this.? should i buy or not.. is it product is good ?
i just try google but not found many information review

I doubted it uses Li-polymer battery.
The shape of the powerbank is same as pineng pn913 and the cost for Li-po is higher than 18650 battery.
The advantage of Li-po is they can be shaped into different size and slimmer.
What for you want to shape the size same as 18650 with higher cost ? doh.gif

Hi bro, some powerbank claimed it is able to start a car.
Have you tested the output at 12v? Whether it can generate up to 40 amps @ 12v?
Very curious to know this tongue.gif
Btw,  notworthy.gif  your work  thumbup.gif
*
Should be jump start a car. The powerbank itself cannot replace the car battery.
I never had chance to test the 12V output. By right it is impossible to generate 40A@12V (40x12=480Wh)
From my opinion the powerbank can temporary supply additional current or power to help start up the engine.
Thanks.

I have one of those power bricks claiming to be 50,000mah. I knew it would be a fake rating before buying from alibaba but at the price I was willing to take my chances.

I've has it for 6 months now and use it very frequent, seems to be going strong. It takes a full day sometimes longer to fully charge. It looks like that white one with the sandbags but black.

It can charge my smartphone S3 and S4 from empty to 100% around 4 times each phone, and can charge my iPad 2 from empty to full 1.5x. Charges my nexus 7 twice. So in theory is good for phones better than tablets.

It is a brick and im happy I got it for like us$20.

Im after a new smaller one to use alternately. Yoobau is too expensive unless it can truely deliver similar results to my brick otherwise better? Plus I don't know which store to trust is lowyat which sells genuine.
I don't know if mine has sand in it, I doubt though.

I have a friend using powerbank without brand. It claimed to have 15000mAh of capacity.
She said that the powerbank able to charge her note 2 for 3 times.
The number of charging is almost similar with pineng pn912 16800mAh.
I suspected they are using recycled battery that are still in good condition, if you are lucky you may get the good units. rclxms.gif

contemplating between a few powerbanks,

xiaomi 10400 - cheap and not bulky despite the capacity, but not sure on reliability as quite new to the market?

Enerpad 9000mAh - almost double of xiaomi yet lower capacity, but a very reputable brand in the battery market, plus its pretty small and not bulky

Yoobao 6016 - high capacity but looks a little bulkier than the other 2 options.

can anyone advice?
*
I think seldom people will buy all of these powerbank to compare.
We can only look from the appearance. How is the performance we don't know.
You can just buy any powerbank above since they are from reputable company.
If you are looking for slim and portable, you can try those with Li-Po battery, it is more expensive.
With LCD display, Pineng might be your choice.
Worth for the money you pay, xiaomi 10400mAh might be a good idea.
For a famous brand in Malaysia, i think should be yoobao. icon_rolleyes.gif

how to know pineng 929 power bank is fake or real ?

You can count the number of charging. From 0-100% without screen on the phone ( don't play the phone when charging)

mine is 30000mAh, and it says 500cycles only. WHich I think it is very less..
*
Hello, i don't think you will use the powerbank everyday until empty.
So you won't get 365 cycle per year, which is very less.
The battery itself can last for 3 years, no matter you are using it or not.
Let's say you are heavy user, every 2 days you finish the powerbank battery, 365/2=183 cycles 1 year.
3 years= 183x3= 549 cycles. You battery is starting to degrade already.

Need some advice. I wanted to replace my IBM T40 laptop battery and it's using 18650 battery...

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3227157&hl=

Is this battery reliable, will explode or anything? LoL
*
As i know the highest capacity for 18650 battery is 3400mAh, manufactured by Panasonic.

I don't think other brand having higher capacity than that. biggrin.gif
