ya. if it is 18650 or other standard size then it is easy to replace.
Powerbank is a better choice, but it is less convenient to bring.

Have you all seen this before?
It's a power bank tube that allows you to swap the 18650 batteries. Anyone bringing this into Malaysia?

What do you guys think?

yea. i will try on my own first.
some allow mix with different battery, but some just parallel those battery and then conversion to 5V.
those with parallel type should use the same type of battery and with nearest internal resistance.

those 4000mAh are over rated. the maximum capacity right now is 3400mAh manufactured by panasonic.
so those with unknown brand and claim their battery capacity more than 3000mAh, mostly are fake.

recommended brand for battery: panasonic, sanyo, or samsung.

good reason. haha
i think at least 2 cell enough for use. iphone still ok, but ipad has very high capacity.
American brand should be expensive right?
But i will try for 2 changeable cell powerbank first.

I have 2 Yoobaos. 1 is the 11200 and one is the 13000. I opened up the 13000 model and it looks legit. My friend bought it in China for me at RMB280 at an upmarket shopping center.

I can charge my Note 2 about a little less than 2.5 times.

Looks like it is giving an effective rating of :

(3.7/5) x (13000) x (75%) = 7215mAh

Would this calculation be a good indication of real mAh rating?

calculation can't indicate the actual capacity.
(3.7/5) x (13000) x (75%) = 7215mAh

7215mAh/ 3100 = 2.3 times

75% efficiency i think is because of large current drawn which reduce the efficiency.

RMB280 is quite expensive compared to Pineng.
