AK120 is just blardy expensive while FiiO X3 looks like a brick.
The iP5 headphone out is more powerful than this small bugger, so pair it with this neutral sounding amp.

Tried the Titan during last Dec Mooks Festival.
I can't hear any difference to the normal AK120, except the increase in storage, so give it a miss.

I'm going ga-ga over the Calyx M though....
Hopefully the SQ is well implemented, as on paper, they almost thick all the right boxes

Size-wise, the RSA SR-71B is almost the same dimension as AK120.
So if you stack it, still looks quite nice. The Intruder is a bit longish though.
The Vorzuge on the other hand is a bit short, but almost the same width.

If size is not priority, Centrance M8 is a good choice

If I buy that amp, most probably it'll stay on the table

I ever tried MSAK100 and some prototype cables from MS before when Cravenz of head-fi was still active in Singapore as MS sometimes asked Cravenz to audition and get feedback from other head-fi members in SG.
I ever thought of getting MS to modify my AK100 through Cravenz, but before committing myself to the mod, Cravenz disappeared from head-fi and I bought AK120

It sounds better than the stock 22Ohm OI AK100
The good thing about MSAK mod is, you can specify what type of cable for him to bypass the resistor for AK100.
I tried both the copper and silver cable bypass for MSAK100.
I preferred the silver cable bypass as I auditioned the MSAK100 with TG!334.
Others might prefer the copper cable bypass if they prefer warmer and weightier sound.

Not sure about MY, but in SG the AK120 is selling at S$1299. Previously the RRP was $1599
The 120 Titan should be S$300 more

It depends what are iem/headphone you'll be pairing it with.
I'm using the AK100II with ciem Roxanne while my wife sometimes use it with her ESW9Ltd.
The balanced headphone out is less powerful that the single-ended out and when I tried Tralucent Reference 1 iem, I prefers the sound from the single-ended out.

If you need to use the DAP with harder to drive headphone, maybe you can audition the AK120II.
For me, the price and form factor is enough for me to stop at AK100II and I have no intention to upgrade to 120II or 240 yet
