Hi,

Currently i'm using Canon 7D with Helios 44M 58 f/2.
But i still don't know how to take a shot with a swirl bokeh inside.
Anyone here please help me the right way to do it.

Thanks.

Not all Helios have a good swirl bokeh and you may not see it everytime even with the right lens.

You would need a somewhat uniform background for the effect to pop out, otherwise it is there, but not significant. Try shooting your subject against trees or grass. A distant background with lots of color lights would be great too.

u ned to shot with lower aperture like f4 and the background must be high contrast like tree leaf..

Just me or the bokeh really distracting? I always bokeh is supposed look smooth so the subject will more pop up...

yup, it's not only distracting but it's really disgusting actually.
i disobeyed all the photography rules indeed.
but what i want to show in the pic is how the bokeh swirled.
rules followed by the specific amount of light, and distance between subject and background. smile.gif
