I guess so. But IMHO, don't really see much reason to flush unless recommended by his magician. Unlike an engine, there isn't anything entering or exiting a gearbox other than torque.

There will be accumulation of metal particles in the fluid.

Though I agree there is rarely need to flush a transmission, just change fluid more frequently.... But then the way kanjiloo drives..... hmm.gif

Just now took my dad's 1.5 GLi manual Wira for a midnite run to my favourite urban road near Nirvana Sungai Besi.

That car is built surprisingly solid, 12 year old but the dashboard does not rattle at all. What's more surprising is, even with those 13" rims, the car performs quite impressively on the curvy road, it is stable around corners and at high speeds. Steering response is not as good as the FLX SE, but around the corners it is more composed than the Saga and less dramatic, probably due to the very low ride height. Or perhaps, Mitsu R&H > Lotus R&H? hmm.gif

The engine leaves a lot to be desired. The 4G15 is SOHC, that means there really is no point dragging the gear to 4k RPM because the max torque has already been dispensed at 3k RPM and drops pretty sharply after that. I manage to push until 120km/h @ around 4k RPM before the engine ran out of breath. It is a old engine, after all. And only god knows why the clutch bite point is so damn high.

It does have a lot of modding potential, though. brows.gif If only my sister didn't trade in my brother's 1.5 GL, which I remember is an even better car sad.gif

You try gymkhana with it, 1st corner will become one wheel drive, you turn right the car wanna turn left, then engine cut power, eberibodi laugh at you. Stick with Saga better, at least least engine won't cut power unsure.gif

Don't forget the torsion beam in saga vs multilink in wira. Ex wira driver too flex.gif

True also. So stock to stock, which do you find is better? Persona or Wira?

I find the Waja stock handling to be sub par. If the Wira is given the same wheel sizes, I think it can outperform the Waja. But my Waja days are kinda vague to me now....I only remember how surprised I was to find that my Saga has less bodyroll than Waja sweat.gif

As pointed out above, multi-link > torsion beam (unless tuned by Renaultsport tongue.gif). Want better steering? Add FSB brows.gif Also, the Wigra's successor is the Gen 2 / Persona anyway.

I think need to change steering rack bushes dy, or better yet, stiff rings, FSB and PU bushes brows.gif

Sounds like the perfect engine for me, rev so high for what? whistling.gif Btw Gaga's clutch bite point is damn high too, but I like it whistling.gif

It's a 1.5l engine, drinks like a 1.5 liter engine, but produces only max 92 bhp and 126 Nm . SOHC FTW, indeed brows.gif

Sometimes I will drive it because that car less use.
That wira is my grandpa favorite car, until he pass away this car is less active.
The sad case is last time before he pass away he use to drive this wira and fetch me back from school. And midnight he suddenly pass away. I was like omg, that day he still ask me when you will get your driving license and say many good thing for driving and bla bla. Then now I got that feel to take care of my grandpa wira. tongue.gif

chipped paint or cracked paint?

chipped paint is caused by objects such as small pebbles hitting your car at high speed and removing spots of paints. cracked paint are like cheap paint that cracks and peels due to exposure to water and sunlight.

Do u guy knowing that saga fl has different air cond brand ? My saga fl has some air con problem. Every 5-10 sec it will alternate between cold ir n normal air, following the compressor cut off. I have a viva which aso having compressor cut off all the time but still maintain with cold air.  Ask SC , again they said its normal.

And told me that different saga has different brand. I ask to get refer to air cond sc, they said they don know. Do you guys having such problem ?

Where should i refer to my case ?
*
When compressor cut off, of course it will blow normal air. If you're still getting cold air means the air inside your cabin is still cold, and the blower is just recycling the cold air without the compressor.

So why Gaga different than viva? First, Viva has a smaller cabin, that means it is easy to cool most of the air inside. Gaga has a bigger cabin, even if you feel the cold air blowing in your face, you may still feel your back sweating. Secondly, the tint quality plays a role. If the Viva tint has better heat rejection than your gaga, then it is easier to maintain a cooler temperature insider the cabin, hence cooler air from the aircon even when compressor cut off.
