Not just constant high speed. As far as Inspira is concerned, using the paddle shift too often within short periods of time, eg. racing up twisty hills with repeated manual downshifts and upshifts, will damage the CVT.

Not sure if the same applies to Preve, but I'd imagine so. Summore Preve's CVT is clutch-based, torque spikes due to paddle downshifts may damage the CVT and clutch even sooner.

At least give the CVT some opportunities to cool off when driving.

Actually, Gaga engine, even the 1.6l, exerts less stress on the CVT compared to the Preve.

Campro IAFM+ 1.3l max torque - 120 Nm
VT2 CVT max torque tolerance - 184 Nm
There is still a margin of 54 Nm before exceeding the VT2's max tolerance.

Campro IAFM+ 1.6l max torque - 150 Nm
VT2 CVT max torque tolerance - 184 Nm
A margin of 34 Nm before exceeding the VT2's max tolerance.

Campro CFE 1.6 Turbo max torque - 205 Nm
VT3 CVT max torque tolerance - 215 Nm
There is only a margin of 10 Nm

So if we're talking about torque spike, I think the Preve's VT3 will suffer more than the Gaga's VT2.

In short.....Proton should introduce manual mode to Gaga CVT

There are performance belt and pulleys for CVT, not sure for Punch's CVT, though.

You release throttle already will kepish la, doesnt matter MT, AT or CVT.

The whole point of aftermarket CVT parts is to increase torque tolerance. Don't have any relevant links though, Don't think CVT is a popular mod.

But if you got money to mod your CVT, why not transplant the getrag tranny, RM5k-6k excluding workmanship. Turbo no need CVT wan la.
