My ipad2 can not detect its 3g. It can detect the line but not the 3g itself. There was no indication at the carrier that there was any 3g. Previously this have been occuring on and off and now i could not use the 3g at all. I've tried turning the ipad on and off, as well as taking out the sim card and wipe the gold plate but none is working.... I am currently surfing using wifi only... My ipad2 iscurrently on ios 6.1.2, i think.... Hope that somebody could give me a quick solution for this... Thank you very much

How long it has been no 3G? Hours or days?

If few days probably it is device problem. If only happened for few hours, it might be carrier problem.

Try to confirm with carrier as well maybe the 3G was cut off or there is problem on the area.

If you bring it to another area also the same, probably device problem.

Thank you very much for the reply.. Its probably the carrier since I have asked my friend and she said she had a problem of connecting to the internet as well. Tried it this morning and every thing was alright again.
