depends on your luck lar
after grad (degree, second upper) i took a 6 month holidays, well consider as holiday since i felt like a lazy bum and wanted a rest after 10+ years of total study.

so when my mother could not stand me sitting around anymore forced me to look for a job and so i did. jobstreet and jobsdb the usual suspects
i was called up for several interviews some from big companies some from smaller ones.
in the small companies, the interview did not reach the point of talking about salary i was scratched
in the big companies, i was told the amount that i would be paid and they were going to give me 2k+
in my mind of course i would think that since small companies also rejected me already why would a big company hire me? very naive thinking since im just a fresh grad and just stepping into the working world

in the end i got into a big company and is getting 2k+ (very good pay IMHO for a freshie)
after entering here i heard that there are even higher pays from some other companies close to 3k

so it really depends on your luck and how you did in the interview, the paper that you got from years of study might not matter at all since in some cases it can be bought

i believe i convinced my current boss that im someone he wants in his team and is willing to endure what comes our way.
