I aggree with u. ur edu qualification doesn't necessarily lands you a higher pay (except Intel which only hires first class students).
Wat most companys wants is ur knowedge and ur contributions to the company.
A degree will only secure u a job regardless of the pay.

Regarding the main query on how much a fresh grad will be paid, I believe it should be in the region of RM1500-RM2000, depending on what deg you are holding and what org you are joining...however, I won't make my starting salary the main point in joining an organisation, but more towards the status of the org(how will it grow?where will the org be in 10 yrs time?will it provide me sufficient training to improve myself?etc)and to find out if I will be happy working in that line...i believe if you join a strong organisation, your starting salary will be quite good as well as a bright future
