THough its a show for fujoshis, I more prefer to categorize it as a sports genre anime.

I mean, the development of the story more like typical sports anime. A guy who came back from the sport he once left, then he starts forming the club, finding members, aiming for tournament and so on.

Yes, its normal for a swimmer to have their skin exposed when swimming rite.

The main character, Haruka. He likes to sit in a bathub or small pool because it shows his bond with the water, not because he is some hentai person who likes to strip whenever or wherever he is with no reason like Gray in Fairy Tail.

I just treat Free! as a usual sports anime and plus, it was produced by KyoAni (did Kyo Ani ever produce sports anime before?)
