Hey guys, need some suggestions. I'm planning to get a 2nd hand Persona, year 2008, Hi Line, because my mitsu waja was stolen on Sunday. A have a few question: 1) Any serious problem that I should look out for? 2) Is the torque dip really that bad? 3) Fuel consumption average how much if 100 city drive? 4) Cornering at high speed ok ah? 5) What kind of not-so-serious mods can i do to it? (If only the engine is healthy) Thanks alot everyone.

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ May 13 2013, 09:58 PM) 1) No serious problems, except for Personas that have been in an accident. Use logic and avoid choosing cars with broken carplates front and back like my abah . 2) Not too bad, but you have to rev over 2K RPM for acceptable acceleration from standstill. 3) If you have a rather heavy foot, check out my fuelly . Almost 100% city drive. 4) Extremely excellent. Makes other drivers who brake while cornering look sissy. 5) Better tyres, soundproofing, brighter light bulbs, front strut bar Wow! RM0.30 per km?? Even my waja last time was doing RM0.22/km. Isn't abit high? Or is your foot very very heavy??? Persona doesn't come with rear ARB right? I'll be going for the test drive on the 2nd hand unit later this week.

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ May 13 2013, 10:08 PM) I think it comes with one front and back. You can say that my foot is like a concrete slab I suppose. I don't really hit the highway, and when I hit it's usually clear, so... . I won't say the city FC is bad cause of my foot, but because of the short distance I travel daily (less than 5KM one way to my destination each day unless for lunch). Im still thinking whether to get a saga 1.6 flx, myvi 1.5se or persona.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ May 13 2013, 10:41 PM) Has rear ARB. TDU, on the side note, I don't think front ARB is used typically, front uses strut bar. Good good. Hopefully the car's condition is also good when i test drive it. Whack it kao kao during test drive.

Guys, my car sounds like chocking when fully stop while in D gear. For example when waiting for traffic light. Its like a manual car didnt engage clutch fully, or like not enough petrol. It goes away when i shift it to N tho...
Got to do with spark plugs or timing belt?

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jun 11 2013, 04:21 PM) What's the mileage? Ada tukar air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, clean throttle body, etc........? Meleage 155k. Got the car not long ago. Engine Oil changed (now using liqui moly mos2), flushed using liqui moly engine flush, oil and air filter changed. spark plugs, fuel filter belum tukar. throttle body no eye see yet. Foreman did told me that the nut from Oil Sump Pan is loose, because the thread from the pan faded, need to change the whole pan. havent change yet, currently they use a slightly bigger nut and some glue thing (maybe not glue) to tighten it.
