shell engine oil is good. but not for persona. reason we don't know.
but the engine oil seems to become dark very fast (if old engine, it may show good as it means the detergent is cleaning the engine, however even in brand new engine, the engine oil darken very fast)
also seems to have slightly more poor performance and not that smooth. if u can actually feel it.

first 3 service, just go sc and say u want service. don't think they allow own engine oil. everything should buy there i think.
what is needed will be engine oil, oil filter, gasket drain plug. not needed such magnatrap, X1R.
if i remember correctly, 3rd service 10k I changed gear oil and air filter also.
recommended engine oil? In this thread: Caltex Havoline, Cusco, Castrol, Liquidmoly, Rock oil, Eneos. Mitsubishi pun ada. Not to say is best, but reviews from user are: better than the SC common engine oil which is shell/petronas.
standard 3 free service for 10k km.
warranty standard is 50k km/2 years. maybe got free extended then will be 100k km/5 years.
most parts have limited warranty and also no warranty.
eg: exhaust system 1 year(you can change them after one year XD)

after 10k still must go to sc. if u go outside service, then no more warranty. to be reasonable, modifying exhaust system only meant no more warranty on exhaust system. but proton which also know as potong, u change apa pun can void warranty. there is case where, pasang light at the keyhole there sudah void warranty. very pro.
if u are very scared of ur car will break down and wanted to claim warranty, please tahan itchy for 2years until ur warranty over only do any mod.
engine and gearbox is the most crucial if it break down and u wanna claim warranty. if no more warranty ur engine/gearbox break down....then.....
unless u just fck warranty and just start mod after u get ur car like ckdenion

few thing u will realise from the car that most ppl are not satisfied when the car is new/stock
1) car have poor pickup
2) car fuel consumption high
3) braking power is very very very bad(not applicable for h-line)
4) throttle lag
5) rear speaker is loud but front nothing
6) headlamp not bright enuf
7) rattling sound

Those will make you want to press harder.. If want to counter heavy foot you must buy R3 rims, eagle eye headlamp, R3 front bumper okay? I will explain to you why if needed.

The fuel consumption is okay, don't worry. Don't drive it too soft when you get the car, vary your engine rpm through the entire range when you get it.

What so shocking? 1st day dapat kereta I already whack 170-180kmh.

i will advice u to drive your car first...belum ambil kereta sudah worry so much...afraid u will end up complaining a lot in tat case...dun worry so much on mods,fc, bla bla...

well, why saga SE?
1) Stylish with full bodykit and 15'' alloy rims
2) 1.6 engine with CVT
3) 200+/- kg lighter than persona
4) ABS + EBD
5) bcoz of 2 and 3, much better fc.
6) more spacious legroom at the rear
7) stiffer suspension for better handling. if u actually notice, at the old gen BLM, when u are fetching full load, u will see the rear go down

if persona got h-line still ok. like i said, other specs the pros and cons are:
1) heavy body of 1200+kg for 1.6 coupled with 30% power loss 4AT. (manual will be better in term of power)
2) bcoz of 1 fc becomes bad especially when u start and stop at traffic light
3) however bcoz of 1, the stability at high speed is super good and barely noticeable when the car is new. mine 3 year+ edi starting to have some sound.
4) multilink suspension, can corner nicely.
performance yes. fc not really significant to break even.
u think red zone will spoil the car? not really, coz it wont hit red.

which I tried to understand what it means, i went to try with my car, not to break in my car lah. mine either way, had been done in easy break in.
but he do have good reasons. and he recommends to hard break in, after you do it, change the oil immediately. dun wait for the 1k service. which I still can see the reason behind it where i believe cavino had almost similiar reason to change the oil as frequent as possible.
