Last time at the cari chinese forums got a case of a new Proton Inspira mia Continental tires burst on the highway and damage the undercarriage, Proton and Continental main taichi push here push there, dunno in the end resolved a not.

help.... just get my persona std for 3 month then got masam smell come out from the aircon when turn on for the first 10 to 20 sec.... any one have the problem solve?

Did you use car perfume?

Mine wheelspin on dry road from standstill under slightly hard input of throttle. Proton never say wheelspin included in specs, can claim?

yup used ambi-pur for 2 month ++ then saw some comments about this perfume caused problem on car aircon then i just stoped using it for about 1 week back...

By the way, the smell was first detected around 2 week back and start getting worse now...

had try to take out the air filter for clean up, but this does not help, only see few small insect on the filter...

That's because the chemicals have already stuck to your cooling coil. Now all the air that pass thru it will carry the smell out your aircon vents.

If you are using the stock filter which is just a wire mesh, it's almost useless.

I saw some ppl DIY the filter, where can i get the 3M filter they used for DIY?

A few months ago Fubar20 organized a bulk for the paper cabin filter, which is good enough for most cases....

Anyway, In the morning try switching off your A/C, turn recirculation mode to outside air, open your windows slightly (not all they way until ppl can rompak you), turn the blower speed to maximum and drive for as long as you can until you reach office/college. Obviously, if you come up behind a garbage truck or trucks with hutan bakar coming out it's exhaust, revert back to recirculating interior air and close your windows. Do this for a few days and see if it improves.

Ok, no prob will try this way out and see how is the effect... hopefully this works and the source is really only caused by the perfume...
