hi...i heard that if you're studying at trinity college and worked hard...ulll get a guarantee to melbourne u.?

Yes, guaranteed if you meet the requirements. Just like MUFY to Monash.

But why worry? If you have good grades in STPM or A-levels, you can still enter Melbourne.

I highly doubt Melbourne would accept A-Lvl students unbiased.

They have biased views. SAM Ausmat has better chances with grades into Melb.

what i heard is trinity college is one of the leading collleges in the world and melbourne U. is one of the top10 best university in the world...so im planning to go there once i finish my SPM...

does anyone here have any education consultant's number?

and based on what i gather... to enter trinity college...you need to score 24 point below ... A1=1points,A2=2points,B3=3 points and so on... 6 subjects will be taken into consideration except BM,History and Moral.

so lets say we get 3A1's and 3 B3's ... its 3 x 1 = 3 points + 3 x 3 = 9 points --> 12points, so it's below 24 points... that means we can get a guarantee to enter trinity?

Rannkings are relative, mind you. But I would like to know which university ranking did you refer to.

Melbourne just wouldn't be top 10 in the world. It is a good school, but I won't go so far as to say that it is in the top 10 in the world. There are many more reputable schools in the world, schools which are highly selective.

A1s and A2s are good enough, you don't need to worry about other things.

If it's a college, I don't think they will have high requirements. Is that a college in Australia? That's mean you go to Australia n study after SPM? AFter that, go to Melbourne Uni for a degree. Is it?

It is a feeder college, something like Monash College.

hurm, is it true that going to trinity will cost 60K on fees alone for a year, and roughly how much is your living expenses there?

i plan to do medical, and im taking my spm right now. after my mom went last year to check out on melbourne u, its a 98% average to get in for medical faculty and that really freaked me, how bout from trinity to melbourn u?

hmmmmm......

This is something you need to consider carefully.

I have two friends, twins actually, who did their foundation studies at Trinity, they were hoping to get medicine, but failed. However, they managed to land themselves places to do biomed engineering. One enjoyed it, the other did not. So the other one came back and applied to IMU to do medicine, got a place and is currently happily studying there.

From what I gathered from them, marks are important, if you're aiming to get into medicine at the University of Melbourne, you'll need to score near prefect scores in every paper you take.

You can try doing A-levels here, then apply to Australia or Canada.

ANU and melb uni keep changing places. Last year Melborne Uni was 1st...this year 2nd. It doesn't really matter actually. But, it is easier to get into Melb Uni through Trinity, for medicine, dentistry and a few other courses. Melb uni starts their "Growing Esteem Programme" so you need a basic Arts of Science degree before going to other courses like Law/Commerce...etc. Thank god medic and dentistry are still undergrad degrees.

Wrong. If it is easy to score near perfect scores in every test, I don't you what we call tough.

it's not hard to score near perfect scores but u need a 98% or sth like that to get in and competition is tough, remember places for dentistry is medicine is limited, so screwing just up one test can be fatal

Can you score that kind of scores?
