so today I went to fix my tyre that is punctured with nail.
I just drove to a random shop cause it's only simple fix which can be done by any tyre shop.
This guy just jack up my car and fix the puncture without even taking out my tyre. I ask him why he didn't take it out and check using water/soap like what is usually done. He said no need. I said what if there are other punctures? He answered me something else which I am not bothered to listen cause I already writing off this shop being slacking with their job.
Then I asked my friend about this and apparently lots of shops are fixing tyre using this method nowadays. I have been driving for many many years but on fixing puncture..luckily it's like less than 10 times. However, each shop I went before all take out the tyre and dip it in water to check for bubbles.
Yeah sure.. they only charge RM6 but this is beside the point. It's about doing the job correctly and properly. What if I really have another puncture? I do have experience before that I had 2 puncture in my tyre.
Do you guys think it's okay to fix a puncture using this "shortcut" method?
