do you use some kind of filters to protect lens? For example, UV etc...or you use them without any filters? Coz my main concern is for lens protection itself, sometimes I'm bit clumsy and I noticed 2 tiny scratches on the NC filter attached to my kit lens already

Let's say if my prime lens has UV filter attached, will it degrade quality of the pictures or doesn't make much difference? I read somewhere that it may cause undesired effects on the pictures...so I just wanna know when's the best time to use UV filter and when not to use..I have lens hood that comes with the prime lens too, should I just use that instead during sunny days?

Just back at my hometown and tried sister's tripod. First time using a tripod...and this is her old broken Canon. Apparently the repair $ is enough to get a new one so she didn't bother repairing. I think she hadn't used it for 3-4 years.

no idea lol...it won't start up. And I didn't question in detail. She lost hope and just didn't bother anymore haha
